Experiencia fantástica: Great dolphin and marine life watching tour experience. They arranged for a taxi to pick me up from my accommodation. I was on a boat with 5 other people. Our guide spoke fluent English and we saw a bunch of dolphins, turtles and fish. Would highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: We went on a trip with Alex. He is a very knowledgeable guide and great captain. We saw a school of dolphins and many more sea creatures. Everything went smoothly and I felt super safe with him on the water. He also respected the wild life. Highly recommended.

He took the time when we saw wildlife to look around and enjoy the scenery. We saw whales, huge sea rays jumping high out of the water near us and allowed me get in the water to video these beautiful creatures. We were joined by Dolphins who swam with us and saw endless turtles not to mention we landed a nice size sailfish and some smaller fish the kids could pull in. Checked all the boxes and more we had a sea safari along with our fishing charter ! Highly recommend!!! Thank you Omar ! My family and I will never forget our day with you and your son! Experiencia fantástica: We had a great experience with Alex! He took his time and knew where to look. We saw sea turtles, manta rays, and a large school of dolphins. The highlight was seeing 7 whales, including 2 pairs of calf/mother whales! The only downside was that we did not swim with the dolphins as advertised. We took a dip in the ocean, and it was probably not safe to join the dolphins, but we would have liked to know it wasn't an option in advance.

Wir hatten sehr viel Glück denn schon nach 20 Minuten haben wir die ersten sehr viele gesehen. Außerdem konnten wir mehrere Schildkröten, Delfine Familien, und sogar eine Wasserschlange sehen! Die Suche nach den Wahlen hat etwas länger gedauert aber auch hier hatten wir Glück und konnten circa 15 Minuten einen Ball folgen. Unser Guide Alex war super freundlich, hat uns interessante Details erzählt Und hatte ein besonderes Talent Tiere zu erkennen! Eine tolle Tour

Experiencia fantástica: Gran día de pesca con Omar! En el festejo de nuestro 11 aniversario queriamos hacer algo que nunca habíamos hecho jamás. Decidimos que salir de pesca era una muy buena idea y después de mucho investigar decidimos con Omars Sportfishing, quien tiene distinción de Traverllers Choice. No sabíamos que esperar porque esto era nuevo para nosotros, solo sabíamos que sería una actividad que podia requerirnos mucha paciencia. Pero Omar es todo positivo, buena vibra y energía todo el tiempo y nos decia: "Va a caer, porque va a caer!"; como a los 10 min picó uno, pero se nos escapó; en ese momento sentimos lo que sería el principio de nuestra primer emoción. Aunque se nos haya ido. Luego pasaron dos horas y nada; pero mi viejo y yo encantados disfrutando la navegada y Omar continuaba positivo y lleno de energía sabiendo que sería un buen día de pesca. Y en ese momento cayó el primero!. Omar me puso en el asiento con la caña y empezó una batalla de más de 15 min entre un hermoso pez vela y yo. Que emoción y alegría, no sabía que lo disfrutaría tanto. Lo subimos a la embarcación, una foto y lo liberamos, para que siguiera su camino. No pasó mucho tiempo y ya teníamos el segundo! Ahora le tocó a mi viejo otro hermoso pez vela, foto y lo liberamos también. Hasta aquí iba más de lo que nos imaginábamos, pero venía lo mejor. Unos minutos más tarde caería nuestro tercer pez vela!; otra vez me tocó a mi pelear con él, pero ya con mas practica me resultó más facil, apesar de que era más grande y fuerte; pero Omar de inmediato se dió cuenta que venia lastimado, y tendríamos que sacrificarlo y llevarlo a tierra firme. Su destino sería en la cocina de un restaurante de una Doña en la playa, quien lo cocinaría en sashimi, al mojo de ajo y a la mantequilla para nosotros. Un gran día de pesca para celebrar nuestro aniversario. Gracias Omar y a su equipo por esta experiencia inolvidable!!

Absolutely brilliant day - Omar and his son Jose showed us the ropes for reeling in massive sail fish, and we had great success each catching one! Omar pointed out lots of other wildlife, including dolphins, turtles, flying fish and went out of his way to find some humpback whales Omar showed us to a restaurant after, where they filleted the fish and we ate it for lunch Super tasty!

Experiencia fantástica: Omar is the absolute goat of deep sea fishing. This was unquestionably the highlight of our trip to puerto escondido and even Mexico as a whole. Omar and Jose’s knowledge and ability are unmatched and in addition to getting two catches, we were able to see whales, three types of dolphins and sea turtles. Cannot recommend them enough.

Experiencia fantástica: These guys are the best! Did a whale watching Tour with Alex today. Spotted a small group of humpbacks very quickly. When the place was too crowded we left to find more. And we did! Alex spotted a huge group of dolphins and a sea turtle. He is amazing! One could see how much respect he has for the animals! A real professional. In the end we found a big group of humpbacks (7-8), which we followed alone for more than half a hour, before other boats arrived. Truly great experience at a great price. Would do it again with Omar's Company!! Thank you! I would give more stars if i could!

Experiencia fantástica: We had the best time! We saw many dolphins, two whales two tortoises and a flying fish! It was a wonderful experience!

Experiencia fantástica: We booked two days of fishing with Omar and his son José and it was great. We are somewhat skilled fishermen and we run our own boat in salt in Oregon. Consequently we are familiar with boating and fishing equipment. Omar and his son run a clean and well-taken care of boat (panga). The tackle was all organized and in excellent condition. There was a plan established at the start of the day and a backup approach and Omar produced - we boated several sailfish the first day and same the second day. We saw dolphin and turtle and flying fish. I was especially impressed with how well Omar could read the water in order to find the fish we were after - changing current, rips, blue water, logs, birds, bait, etc. When one setup was not producing he changed the tackle to generate success. Omar and José were impressively good at attracting the sailfish with teasers and then getting the fish on by quickly switching gear for a “sight” hook set. They provided helpful direction without being overly controlling. It was really enjoyable to see how excited Omar still gets after 30 years of fishing when we landed our sails. “It is magical” he would say about catching billfish. Omar speaks excellent English and he and José are fun to chat with. Omar’s prices are fair and are for the boat not per person as some others will charge.

Alex our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and persistent, giving updates in English and Spanish with ease. Alex not Only knows the wildlife / ocean but gives lots of interesting info about the local area and beaches etc. now on to the main event… We saw loads of turtles, scores of dolphins and just when we thought the tour was nearly over, our guy spotted a humpback on the horizon. Alex stayed out longer than scheduled to give us plenty of chance to see the whale surfacing multiple times. An incredible experience - Gracias Alex & Omar!

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing experience. Omar and Jose are very knowledgeable about the area, wildlife and fishing. They were patient with the teaching so that us newbies could participate in the catch. We got to see dolphins and turtles and Omar got word that there were humpback whales in the area and was able to locate them so we got to see them surface. We hooked a HUGE sail fish and an 89.5kg blue marlin. 100% recommend booking a fishing trip with Omar. We will be back!

Experiencia fantástica: I have fished with Omar numerous times and have been fortunate enough to catch sails but more important to me is fishing for Roosters. Omar has trained many captains and is as unselfish as they come. I am lucky to be able to call him my friend.

Experiencia fantástica: These guys are the real deal I highly recommend going with them they certainly standout from the rest of the other fishermen I had the pleasure of going with the son of Oscar, Captain Jose who is a professional in fishing these waters including his team, Jose has won the sailfish competition that is held in those waters he’s incredibly knowledgeable and teaches you in using different tactics to catch fish and explains it as he’s doing it he also is making sure to point out the fishes we saw while on the boat ride we saw a few sailfish coming up and trying to attack the bait, dolphins, and even sea turtles. Make sure to check your seasons and ask before coming to know what fish you will be catching we had an amazing opportunity to catch this sailfish and it put up an amazing fight shooting up from the waters as it was caught and running fast in seconds certainly a memorable moment and worth every dollar spent. I will definitely be coming back for some Mahi mahi or even yellowfin tuna

Experiencia fantástica: What a wonderful experience. Cannot express enough that if you have the chance to go fishing, Omar is the business to go to. Such a wonderful family (his son & daughter helped as well), kind, encouraging, passionate and knowledgeable. He made sure we were happy and comfortable (asked several times because he knew I was worried about getting sea sick), offered bottled water, a cooler to put our beverages in, reminded us to put sunscreen on and gave us a bottle of electrolytes when he could tell I was getting overheated. There is also a toilet on the boat (if need be). Omar forewarned us there was a chance we wouldn’t catch anything (expected with any type of fishing) however, it turned out to be quite the opposite. We ended up catching a total of 6 sailfish! At one point my husband and I were each reeling in a fish at the same time! Omar did such a fantastic job coaching us and encouraging us as we reeled the fish in (this was our first time fishing on the ocean). His son would pull the fish up into the boat so we could take pics and then release them back into the ocean. After we were done fishing, Omar invited us to jump into the ocean to cool off while they put the equipment away and then he took us to a spot where there had to have been thousands of dolphins jumping all over and swimming right in front of our boat. Such a neat experience. We saw lots of sea turtles (Omar even turned the boat around to pull plastic off of one who was struggling to swim) and a Manta Ray. Overall, we could not have hoped for a better fishing trip. Thank you Omar and family, we hope to someday fish with you all again!

Experiencia negativa: La playa es hermosa, sin embargo tienen un gran negocio que cierran parte de la playa para su negocio de botes, no retan mesas y sillas porque no consumes, en Acapulco te rentas la mesa y sillas si gustabas, como no vas preparando tienes que comprar una sombrilla de 800 pesos mínimo, cuando en tu estado puede estar en 250, Yo fui de vacaciones con un grupo de 47 personas pero muy decepcionados todos, lejos, todo super caro, todo quedaba lejos, te obligan a dejar el 10% de propina, yo dejo hasta el 25% pero cuando te obligan ni dejan ganas de seguir ahí, es hermoso pero mejor Acapulco más cerca, caro pero no tanto como Oaxaca básicamente lo que te gastas en Acapulco 5 días en Oaxaca te lo gastas en 2 días y la comida dónde consumí yo no estaba buena, habían unas hamburguesas super sabrosa y a precio justo lo recomiendo mucho, como conclusión es hermoso y playas limpias por eso están vacías dejan mucho que desear el servicio.

Alex was knowledgeable about all the sea life we saw and went the extra mile to make sure we had the best time ever. Experiencia fantástica: My partner and I would 100% recommend Omar’s sportfishing experience, worth every penny. Caught ourselves a huge marlin, saw plenty of dolphins and sea turtles. We got to enjoy our catch for lunch afterwards with Omar and his helper ‘Shark’. We experienced how the fish is cut up and shared amongst the locals - nothing goes to waste. Omar is a lovely man with good English and gives a very good fishing lesson whilst guiding you through the catch. You can be sure you’re in good hands if you choose to book with Omar’s company.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been fishing with Omar for almost 7 years. I try to make it down at least 1 time per year. Omar always goes out of his way to make sure you have enjoyed yourself, and I have never been disappointed! Have recommended his charters to many friends and family already and will continue to do so. Last time out caught 12 mahi's!! It was pure magic with the lines going crazy. Omar had to get one of the other tour cappies to come and take a few back to shore so we could stay out longer. Amazing as always in PE, one of the best blue water fishing spots on the west coast of Mx. Heading back down this February 2024. If you love to hear the reels screaming and get excited when you see a hooked one jumping for all its worth on your line, then you need to make a stop in Puerto Escondido. Experiencia fantástica: amazing tour with juan—we did the 3 hour dolphin watching tour and saw plenty right next to the boat. we were also able to see whales (december). 100% recommend! it was a comfortable ride, the water was relatively still and the boat had a motor so no one got sea sick.

Im very scared of the sea as i cannot swim and he was so sweet and asking if i was feeling ok and ensuring i was fine. We saw many dolphins and also omar knows the sea so well he managed to notice a whale from afar. So not only did we manage to see dolphins we also got to experience to see the whales. Experiencia fantástica: Best thing we did in PE. We’ve spoken to a load of people who went fishing with other operators and it seems like this experience is just a cut above the rest. Really easy to book, they sort travel to the site as well. We caught 5 mahi mahi and a sailfish and there were another few that we lost! Also incredible to see dolphins and turtles out there. Jose and his colleague were truly excellent - Jose has great English and it felt like he was really there to make sure we got the most out of our time on the boat, answering our questions, pointing things out and redirecting the boat towards the pod of dolphins. Couldn’t recommend this more!

Experiencia fantástica: Had a great time on the dolphin tour! We saw several sea turtles and a huge pod of bottlenose dolphins. We tried to swim with them, but they wouldn't stay put, lol. Our journey was about 3.5 hours in total. I definitely recommend Omar's! We met them at the beach and they took excellent care of us.

Experiencia fantástica: Booked in the night before going on an early morning charter with Omar’s Sportfishing. Went out on BlackBird for 5 hours and had an incredible time catching 5 sailfish. The deckhand and captain were a heap of fun and very professional. To top the day off - we dropped a couple of fish into the restaurant in town, enjoyed the fresh fish (and mescal) and the rest (majority)of the fish was butchered to be consumed by the locals. I would highly highly recommend getting out with Omar. 10/10.

Experiencia fantástica: Omar and Ivan were the captain and first mate are experienced, exuberant, knowledgeable, and eager to share that knowledge. We went on this fishing expedition with the hopes of catching some fish, obviously. What we didn’t anticipate was how wonderful these two gentlemen were, and how much information they passed on to us that went far beyond how to fish in the open ocean. We learned all about the abundant cornucopia of oceanic life that resides in around Puerto, Escondido, and the excitement on the faces of our crew was almost as endearing as the excitement on our faces, as we encountered, literally, hundreds and hundreds of dolphins, flying fish, orca, whales, flying manta rays, and lots and lots of sea turtles. The fishing almost took a backseat to the viewing of ocean wildlife. And while I did not get to catch fish handover fist I did get to catch a beautiful 30 pound, 4 foot mahi-mahi with the cruise assistance, of course. Since we are here on vacation, we don’t really have the facilities to process fish, however, Ivan cleaned the fish there are on the boat. And when we told them that it was just the two of us, and we did not want to fish to go to waste they assured us that it would not. When we got back to shore, they took us to a restaurant. Did they work with where the mahi-mahi was cooked and we had a wonderful meal with the crew. We had them cook extra to bring back to our room and they were going to divvy the rest up amongst themselves and the people they work with so there’s no waste. I can’t recommend this outfit highly enough even after our fishing expedition was over Omar offered to help us in and around Puerto, Escondido, and other ways, and told us to reach out to him at any time during our stay, if we had trouble with anything, or had questions about anything. Truly a great captain.

We had an amazing time taking his charter, and caught some monster mahi mahi and sailfish! You don’t want to miss the fishing in Puerto Escondido, and Omar’s Charters are worth every peso!

Experiencia fantástica: A day we will NEVER forget! Our captain Jose took us out and made the experience perfect. We saw three humpback whales, three full breaches and hundreds and hundreds of dolphins. It was mind blowing! Jose was great though because sometimes when all the other boats went one way, he’d go the other and find us sea life before the other boats arrived. We were comfortable, our boat wasn’t as full as the others so we had lots of room to move around to see it all. Don’t hesitate to book this tour! Communication with Omar in booking was easy. We paid the day of in cash. Worth every peso a million times over! Highlight of our time in PE.

Experiencia fantástica: Great fishing with this company. We started close to shore and got some Mackerel first then went out further for some Mahi Mahi. We also used them for whale watching a couple days prior.

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing! We went whale and dolphin watching and saw humpback whales, a turtle, a flying stingray and a bunch of dolphins. It was hard to find dolphins but they did not give up until they found them and when most bits had already turned back to the beach. Excellent tour and I would highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: This was a highlight of our time in Puerto Escondido! We saw countless dolphins, sea turtles, and manta rays jumping out of the water....a perfect way to start the day. We wished we had enough time for a sport fishing tour with Omar as well....next time!

Experiencia fantástica: Unreal experience! Omar has the best fishing guides in all of puerto Escondido. Crew and boat was excellent. Fished a full day and caught blue marlin and numerous mahi mahi. We will no doubt be back again and recommend it to anyone fishing in puerto Escondido!

Experiencia fantástica: I did a whale and dolphin tour with Omar in January and it was BRILLIANT! We saw many many dolphins, multiple whales, rays and seat turtles. He is very helpful on whatsapp to plan your trip and takes good care of the visitors (including some older ladies who he made sure were sat safely and looked after). He makes an effort to not intrude on the nature (unlike some boats). 100% recommend choosing this tour

Experiencia fantástica: We did Omar's dolphin and whale watching tour. It was a fantastic experience! We were able to swim with hundreds of dolphins and we had a whale breach right next to our boat. They shared interesting facts with us about the area and we had a really great time. When we are back in Puerto, we will definitely go again! Highly recommend!
