Cenote Diving And Snorkeling Experiences

Experiencia fantástica: Seth hooked us up with this awesome guide named Luis. He has taken me and my wife to Cenotes and the next day to Chichen Itza private tour from an archeologist was the bomb. The tour was informative and fun. Tomorrow going diving in the Gulf with Alex if he is half as good as Luis it is well worth it. Best 30th anniversary trip ever!

Experiencia positiva: EDIT: Seth, the company owner, called me after I posted this review and gave an apology for the experience, as well as stating that this is not the standard for his company. I gave him additional details and it sounds like he'll take steps to rectify the situation to ensure other customers receive a better experience. I updated the stars from 2 to 4. Summary: Poor "guided" tour by Geo. Experience felt more like booking a driver who take you to a cool, non-touristy location and will be on site, but not engage much with your group. Not what we were expecting, fell short of what was advertised. We booked with Seth for a cenote tour and snorkeling on 12/8/24, who was quick to respond and gave a detailed text of what to expect, including a "privately guided tour of the cenotes," "all gear needed," "snacks and drinks." For his portion, Seth did great. Our main issue was the tour guide, Geo. He did not act very professional, nor very engaged with us at all. He only offered up information about the cenote when we asked questions about it while we drove up. Upon reaching the cenote, he gave us the entry bracelets and life vests, but then pointed in the direction of the main cenotes. He told us to come get him if we wanted him to take pictures or needed something, then proceeded to lay back in the truck and listen to music for 90% of our time on location. In fact, by the time we left, the truck's battery was dead and needed to be jumped - presumably because he'd been listening to the music via battery for hours on end. The cooler contained small water bottles, but also several opened and half-drank bottles and no snacks, as we were expecting. Geo verbally offered snorkeling gear, but did not hand it out to anyone. I brought my own gear, so I was the only one who had goggles or flippers in hand. For much of the experience, my group was wondering if Geo was ever going to offer up any more information about the cenote, engage with us (swim or cliff dive, or anything!), or show any interest in the tour. He did take a video of a goat and a fox on site that he showed us later, but that was about it. I expect for a tour guide to act excited, ask us questions about our trip or ourselves, do a flip off the cliff, SOMETHING to work for the tip! But nothing. The experience was so awkward with Geo's presence and obvious lack of interest/boredom with the day. The lunch was equally awkward and Geo made it clear with his demeanor that he wanted it over as quickly as possible. Pro: - lots of independent time at the cenote - no pressure to leave within a limited time - beautiful location, not a touristy spot Con: - not given what was advertised in the text with Seth - no snacks offered at the cenote by Geo, disappointing cooler of half-opened/half-drank water bottles was the only refreshment on site - Tour guide, Geo, was so disinterested, unengaged, unenthusiastic. Experience was so awkward and uncomfortable at times All in all, I think this company could be great, but avoid Geo as your guide!

Experiencia fantástica: Contacted the company for more info and Seth got back to me quickly . Scheduling online was quick and easy. We were picked up at our hotel front door by our guide Gaston, who, while driving to our cenotes, provided a wealth of information about various local history. Gaston brought us to Seven Bocas cenote park. His choice to bring us here was based on our desire for a less busy, less commercial experience. We did not want to see a lot full of passenger vans and wait in lines to see the sights. Gaston nailed it. Seven Bocas is a quaint, family owned park, but it has amazing cenotes that must be snorkeled with an experienced and knowledgeable guide. Gaston was that guy. Cenote Diving provides all the snorkel equipment. You need to bring flip flops, a change of clothes and a towel. Seven Bocas has shower and changing facilities as well. We spent about two amazing hours snorkeling the caves, which was more than enough. Meandering through the water filled caves though not difficult is tiring . On the way back to our resort, we were treated to an authentic and relaxing quesadilla lunch in Puerto Morales. In summary we most likely would have been happy with most any cenote tour company never having done it before. However having a guide that knows the ropes and is enthusiastic to educate his guests , obviously loves what he does makes all the difference between an ok excursion and a wonderful memorable experience.

Experiencia fantástica: Gaston was our tour guide and Mario our driver (amongst doing other jobs for the group throughout the day). They took us to a beautiful cenotes park with many cenotes to explore. It was beautiful and something we had never experienced before. We had a group of 13 including 6 children (4 that are between ages 6-9 and a 13yo, & 15yo) and adults ranging from lower 30s-70s. Gaston was incredibly patient with our younger children that asked many questions and talked a lot. He didn't seem bothered at all. He was so good with them. Also one of the members of our group has MS and got fatigued early on while snorkeling the cenotes and he got a life ring and helped guide her through the rest of the tour. He showed us so many cool things in the cenotes and taught us about the history of them. We were so grateful to have such a knowledgeable guide. Mario was also very kind and helpful and made our day much better and easier taking care of different things throughout the day. The cenotes were beautiful. We enjoyed swimming and snorkeling inside of the covered ones and then swimming and jumping into the uncovered one for a long time. They served us a delicious lunch with roast chicken, the best potatoes, rice, and tortillas to build tacos. It was really good. We swam some more before heading back. Book with them, go see the cenotes or try one of their other tours because I'm sure it would be great too! You won't regret it and will get an experience like no other full of great memories. It was the highlight of our week in Mexico. Thank you Gaston & Mario!

Experiencia fantástica: I've never seen anything like it. The cenotes were deep and a little frightening but absolutely beautiful at the same time. I swam in an underground cenotes with dark almost black water having no idea what could be below. And I did a mid-high cliff jump from another that was so much fun. I wish it had been higher.

The experience would be so much better if they allow visitors to choose at least one pic with the package and then pro rate the rest as opposed to the ridiculous money grab they pull at the end of the tour. They would stand to make alot more money from pics so the effort they put in to take them is not wasted imo.

Y si Eres extranjero te sale mejor porque ahí tienen el costo muy elevado para los que no son mexicanos, por ejemplo, un viaje de 800 pesos mexicanos sale en 75 dólares (1500 pesos)

Experiencia fantástica: I wanted to avoid the canned (and expensive) tours that the resort offered, and Seth came through in his red Ford Ranger with dog hair on the seats (we even got to meet Lucky on our second trip). We ended up booking two tours, the first to the Siete Bocas Cenote (followed by excellent quesadillas) and the second to Tulum and the Casa Cenote. Both experiences were super chill and we could explore the cenotes at our own pace. While we only snorkeled this time around, I fully plan to return to scuba dive in the cenotes with Seth.

Experiencia fantástica: We LOVED our time spent at the cenotes!!! Seth was very professional, punctual, and offered reasonable pricing. He set me and my husband up with a private guide and transportation that allowed us to enjoy Mexico at our own pace without the pressure of a schedule or the need to abide to a group setting where we might have to do activities we don’t want or wait on others. We ended up having the entire place to ourselves! ❤️❤️❤️ The private tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history and habitats within Mexico plus he was an expert diver and photographer, making this all inclusive with everything we could’ve hoped for. Highly recommend!!! We will be returning to Mexico and definitely doing this again through Seth.

Experiencia fantástica: I stayed in Cancun and reached out to Seth regarding cenote diving nearby. His response was quick. Julio was my private guide. He was from Spain and his English was perfect. He was punctual and the dives were 1st class. We dived Cenote Zapote and Kin Ha. I was picked up at my hotel at 0800 and I arrived back at 1430. I felt very safe. Julio was extremely diligent in explaining the dive and safety instructions. Attached are some photos I took. I hope to dive with them again. This was my 5th or 6th cenote diving trip over the past 20 years. Julio was by far the safest dive master that I have had the pleasure to dive with in either ocean or in caverns.
