Experiencia fantástica: this tour was everything we had hoped it would be. we spent lots of time out on the water and when we finally had our encounter with the whales coming right up to the boat, it seemed to last for so long! dream come true. I will warn that if you are like me and you get sea sick, one dose of bonine or whatever you take for it may not be enough. Take extra with you to take another dose during the tour. This region gets very windy, which makes the water extremely choppy. it’s sooooooo worth it, though!

Experiencia fantástica: We had an amazing whale watching adventure with Mario's tours going out on two separate days for gray whale watching. Their museum is a lovely introduction to what you're going to see and their briefing is thorough and informative. I appreciate that they don't chase the whales and they let the whales come to the boat. I also liked the stop at the giant salt pile on the way out.

Experiencia fantástica: This is the 3rd time booking with Mario's Tours and without a doubt they have always come through. Our captain was Tito and did an exceptional job putting us on whales. We took our daughter in confidence of seeing and petting whales and Mario's did exactly that!! Thank you for making to some a "once in a lifetime " experience happen. We would highly recommend using Mario's for your visit to Guerro Negro. A bonus was the stop at the Salt mine. That in itself is a very cool experience. We have gone to San Ignacio is search of whales and were able to "see" them however, the crew at Mario's will make dreams come true!! MARIO'S FOR THE WIN!!

Experiencia fantástica: L' équipe est très sympathique, ils nous ont accueillis une vingtaine de minutes pour nous expliquer les informations sur ce sanctuaire. Nous avons eut la chance de rencontrer les dauphins et de magnifiques baleines, c'est un grand cadeau. Le capitaine était à l'écoute de nos sensibilité. Petit groupe de 6 personnes. Ils ont accès à la laguna 1 de l'entrée du pacifique. Il y a un autre accès 2 avec d'autres compagnies, qui est aussi à vivre, de toute beauté.

Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely amazing! I came here in 2019 outside of whaling seasons and swore I would come back to see the whales! I went today and had an absolutely magical experience! 5 whales swam up to our boat, made eye contact, and interacted with us! I thought I had bad luck with whale watching as I went on a tour in Seattle before, and the guide told us it was the first time he hadn't seen a whale for the entire tour... so was pleasantly surprised when my bad luck streak ended today! I came in late January, and was nervous that the whales hadn't arrived yet, but couldn't even count the number of whales I saw today. It was incredible and I highly recommend! The whales are curious and you look out for their spouts and then the boat "parks" a few hundred meters away. Either the whales stay away or some curious ones will come up and inspect the boat. One even nudged the boat! Absolutely incredible. We had 5 whales surrounding the boat at one point. Also, never did I feel like we were bothering the whales. They came up to the boats on their own!

Experiencia positiva: Located on main highway 1, a few minutes out of town. Plenty of parking, bar, restaurant, toilets & souvenirs. Didn't eat but reportedly good food. Staff respectful and attentive in tours. I had difficulty understanding the English but that was me. See the separate salt Exportadora (salt ponds and processing) only on low wind days. Operations stop when windy and you will see everything again if you do the whale watching tour.

Experiencia fantástica: Started the tour with a 30 minute information meeting to learn about the grey whales. After, the drive was about 15 minutes by a salt mine to get to the launching dock. Great time out on the water. Saw many whales plus dolphins and osprey.

Experiencia negativa: Nous avons réservé à l'avance , nous avons donc organisé notre voyage au Guerrero negro en fonction de ce tour. 10h de route pour voir les baleines grises. On nous a demandé de venir la veille pour payer, ce que nous avons fait. Et quand nous sommes arrivés le matin, on nous a dit de rentrer chez nous. Le tour était annulé car nous n'étions que deux inscrits. Nous sommes en colère et dégoûtés ! C'est un gros manque de respect pour les touristes qui s'organisent.

Experiencia negativa: Just a big waste of time... We booked with mario, he asked to come one day before the trip for the payment so we went. Then on the trip day we got there at 7.30a.m. and they just told us that 2 other people have canceled their reservation so we won't go... We've made the reservation 1 week before and this is our only full day in guerrero negro, so we basically come here for this tour and we actually just lost a lot of time and we have done a lot of road for nothing... So unprofessional!!!! Please don't waste your time with mario's tour.

Experiencia fantástica: Excelente servicio. Hice dos Tours con ellos. El primero a la salinera y el segundo a las ballenas 8 días después y regrese por el buen servicio que nos brindaron. En la salinera nos tocó solamente a nosotros y el servicio fue totalmente personalizado. Aparte de la salinera nos explican sobre el pueblo y nos llevaron a ver los amargos que son muy hermosos. Para las ballenas nos toco con un grupo grande pero aún así nos ofrecieron un gran servicio. Muy recomendado. Atentos a las llamadas y mensajes y muy flexibles. Para el segundo tour les cambiamos la fecha por un imprevisto y aún así nos recibieron.

They also went above and beyond - and looked after my dog and kept her in their office while I went was on the tour seeing whales and dolphins! I was very impressed!

Experiencia negativa: Der Anbieter hat kein gutes Gefühl hinterlassen. Die Wale an sich waren toll. Die Tour war allerdings nicht wie vom Anbieter beschrieben 3 Stunden im Boot sondern nur 2,5 Stunden. Zudem sollte die Tour laut Anbieter 50 Dollar oder Äquivalent in mexikanischen Pesos kosten. Als wir dann vor Ort mit Pesos zahlen wollten wurde ein so schlechter Umrechnungskurs angewendet, dass wir effektiv 5 Dollar mehr für die Tour zahlen mussten. Das Personal war hier auch zu keiner Kulanz bereit. Per Kreditkartenzahlung wurde ebenfalls nur der viel schlechtere Pesos Kurs angeboten. Hier werden Touristen, die keinen Cash in Dollar mitbringen diskriminiert.

Experiencia fantástica: Похоже, среди всех предлагающих посмотреть и погладить китов, эти ребята – единственные, кто занимается этим профессионально (видимо, какие-то учёные). Перед экскурсией была лекция (на двух языках), которая проходила в их музее-ресторане (это как раз точка на карте). Там же кемпинг для домов на колёсах, как я понял. Пока ехали обратно, заскочили на соляной карьер. На самих лодках предлагали дождевики и какой-то бутерброд с колой даже. В общем, организация мне очень понравилась, рекомендую!

Experiencia fantástica: This was a great tour. Mario's is organized & professional. There is a little museum where they give all passengers a nice talk and presentation about the whales and their amazing journey. On our tour they gave us waterproof ponchos, which was a nice touch. The boats do not chase the whales, which I really appreciated. The whales came to us like curious puppies! The boats were very clean and stable and had seat pads for comfort. It was an all around great experience!

Experiencia fantástica: I had a wonderful experience with this company. Went on a whale watch two times and both were very different. One ride cost $50, you jump in a boat of 12 passengers. It’s not ideal to have some freedom running from side to side of a boat, but you see and touch plenty! Our first day the water was flat and whales were very interactive. Two or three at the time. Second day the water was rough and because of it whales were not very communicative, yet still had luck to see and pet them. I made an appointment over WhatsApp (contact is on the website). They responded relatively fast. Hat, gloves, sunscreen, glasses must have. They will give you a waterproof poncho if needed (when the water is rough take it!). If you are camping or RV, they have a space for you too!

Experiencia positiva: El mejor lugar para el avistamiento desde la laguna ojo de liebre. Desde que llamé para reservar el personal fue muy atento , el costo fue de $700 pesos por persona. La transportación que te lleva a la laguna puede mejorar mucho, meten mucha gente y no sirve el aire acondicionado. Pero en general una experiencia increíble.

Experiencia positiva: Very nice tour. Tito the captain was great. Got close to some nice greys. There was a girl on the boat who had to pee so bad that she was crying. When I saw what was happening I asked Tito to stop and for all passengers to turn around. Her and her husband I think were somehow able to put her over the side to pee. One suggestion: Put a bucket in the boat so women(in an emergency) can kneel down and pee behind the seats. How hard would that be? Guys(obviously) have an advantage, but please do this for the ladies. She did not get to enjoy the whales and she was embarrassed. A small bucked or tub would solve this. Thank you.

Experiencia positiva: Very good tour! We saw many whales in spite of rough water conditions the day we went out. We also learned about the whales in a PowerPoint presentation before going out. The boat came back a little earlier then planned because of several people feeling sea sick. Dramamine recommended to be safe!

Experiencia fantástica: There is no whale tour like this anywhere. The only gales come to your boat like dogs to be petted. They glitchy to get to the boat. The pictures are real, you will pet a whale on this trip. Day starts with a quick classroom overview, 10 minute drive to the boat, 3 hours on the boat with whales, lunch is also provided. Staff are extremely professional and friendly. Could Not recommend this more highly!! We drove from San Diego and the drive was so worth it.

La guide parlait un anglais parfait et le repas était très correct. 4/5 car le minibus qui nous transportait est tombé en panne et nous avons perdu 1h.

Experiencia positiva: El servicio es muy bueno .Solo un detalle: por el viaje tienen dos cuotas (extranjeros y nacionales), sería chido que en nacionales incluyeran a las personas con tarjeta de RESIDENCIA mexicana, porque es un acto de INCLUSIÓN, el hecho de en el país que tú consideras HOGAR te discriminen solo por no haber nacido aquí, aunque tengas años viviendo, aunque pages impuestos, trabajes, etc..No es el dinero, es la sensación de sentirte bienvenido. Ese sencillo gesto puede arruinar el día, a nosotros nos dejó una sensación tan rara. Hacer algo al respecto sería un acto muy lindo de inclusión, inclusión a quienes no tiene voz en este país, pero lo viven igual que todos los mexicanos.

Experiencia positiva: Muy buena experiencia, muy simpáticos y agradables, buen trato personal, muy buenos servicios, contratamos un tour por las salinas, nos costó 400 pesos y duraba unas 3 horas o 3 y media, el guía era muy simpático y nos explicaba todo bien y hacíamos las paradas que hiciera falta para que pudiéramos ver todo, sin prisa para que nos hiciéramos las fotos, nos dieron barritas de fresa y naranjas. I have used Mario’s Tours for all my 8 trips hear and next you I plan on bringing even more! Mariam and her brother run Mario’s Tours and do an excellent job with reservations and along with their great staff make sure everyone is set and ready to go from the mornings informative briefing on the whales and this regions purpose, to the addition informative bus/van ride from tour office to boat docks and great boat captains with great knowledge on how to seek out the whales and their calves for an experience of a lifetime! Experiencia fantástica: Elegir a Marios Tours como anfitrión para realizar el avistamiento de ballenas, ha sido la mejor decisión. Son una empresa responsable en todos los contextos. Cumplen de manera estricta todas las recomendaciones de seguridad y de cuidado al medio ambiente. Cuenta con guías certificados y muy divertidos. Son un equipo consolidado y muy profesional. Además, tienen otras actividades que ofrecer al visitante local o foráneo; como el Museo de la Ballena, que por cierto está siendo remodelado, así que imagino que si me maravillé con lo que encontré antes, no quiero perderme cuando reanuden. Para los que amantes de la lectura, es muy placentero encontrar en sus mismas instalaciones, una sala de lectura, Libertad. En fin, es una empresa completa, muy comprometida con su comunidad y sensible a las necesidades de la misma. Hacen falta más empresas como ésta. Sus líderes son seres humanos extraordinarios, es por eso que realizan cosas extraordinarias. No dudaría en regresa cada año con ellos. Si tienen dudas sobre costos, otros recorridos, horarios, etc. Siempre están disponibles para responder y ayudar a planear nuestro viaje.
