Experiencia fantástica: My husband and I were very satisfied with the Basilica of Guadalupe and Teotihuacan tour. Our driver Elli and our tour guide Charlie were very kind and knowledgeable, clearly sharing information and making sure each guest on the tour was comfortable. One aspect I really enjoyed was the free time at each site to explore on our own, so we could see what we wanted to see to some extent after learning about the basics.

Experiencia positiva: The highlight of the day was definitely Teotihuacan and the pyramids so I'm glad that my group and I got to experience this. Although the website advertises this as an 8-9 hour day, our day ended up being around 11 hours from pickup to dropoff. The package we bought included lunch. However, we didnt end up eating lunch until 330 pm so please eat breakfast beforehand. The biggest negative of this experience was the driver who was frequently missing, leading to many inefficiencies of the day. However, our tour guide Teresa was nice and remained professional under these circumstances.

Experiencia fantástica: We loved our tour!! Marta was our guide and she was fantastic- knowledgeable, friendly and fun. We could ask follow up questions and have great conversations. She even gave me advice about how to see murals in the city and getting to the airport!! She and the driver (I’m so sorry I didn’t get his name) were fantastic and I highly recommend them. As one note- when we went to the obsidian workshop (our guide Hugo was also amazing and very fun and energetic!) and we also had tastes of delicious pulque, mezcal, and other drinks- I bought some bottles to take home with me but they were confiscated at the airport. The airport official said that bottles of liquor had to have some official sticker from Mexico on them for me to take home. So- just as a note!

Experiencia fantástica: The pyramid venue was amazing. We had ample opportunity to see the pyramids as well as the ruins of Tlatelolco and the Basilica. The guide Nacho was helpful and informative and very approachable with questions. My only suggestion in the future would be to arrange to walk to the site of the October 2nd massacre (adjacent to the ruins of Tlatelolco) which is important history.

Experiencia positiva: Good communication before the trip; however, the whatsapp was lacking communication on the day of the trip...the shuttle pickup was late for 30 minutes and I had to pry for updates myself. The tour itself was good with Martha even though it was a little rushed through and too much time spent at the gift shop. Overall, not bad for the price paid but probably could be better.

He made our day at Teotihuacan educational and fun and provided a lot of care throughout the whole day. He even had the forethought to bring cold waters for all of us so that we were hydrated and comfortable throughout the entire tour. I think every single person in our group had a smile on their face all day and it was mostly because of him! What a special experience. Thank you for everything!

Experiencia positiva: Great tour. The first stop in the city provided a good base for the rest of the tour linking history, culture and geology of CDMX. The pyramids are spectacular. My only 'negative' comment is that not every commentary was described in English for our benefit. It started well but as the tour proceeded we had to keep reminding the guide to translate, and in the process some stuff was lost in (the lack) of translation. We were a small group so it was much easier to herd and therefore covered good ground in good time. A day well spent.

Experiencia fantástica: Our tour operator, Theresa was wonderful! The carefully selected stops were unique and very informative. We learned about the agave plant and all of its uses, the three cultures of Mexico, got to see the magnificence of Teotihuacán, had lunch while being serenaded by a mariachi band, and finished at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Experiencia positiva: I luoghi sono interessanti e meritano una giornata di visita. C'è stata un'incomprensione al momento del punto d'incontro. La mail diceva ore 8:35 ma di fatto mi aspettavano alle 7:40 e non era scritto da nessuna parte. Per fortuna, nonostante il traffico ed una manifestazione in atto, siamo riusciti ad incontrarci alle 9:15 dopo oltre 1h e mezza di auto per percorrere pochi chilometri ed una spesa di 26€ di Uber. Il tour si è svolto comunque bene. La guida è stata molto frettolosa nelle descrizioni. Ma comunque disponibile. Ero consapevole che avremmo affrontato il solito business presso i commercianti di loro conoscenza, non si è obbligati ad acquistare. Non mi è piaciuta la gestione del pranzo. Durante il tour, la guida ci ha portato presso un loro ristorante e chiedevo, senza motivo di errore, cosa fosse incluso. La risposta è stata si che era incluso il menù del giorno ma non quello alla carta. Alla fine ci chiedono il conto, non caro ma avrei preferito scegliere personalmente il posto vista la qualità scadente del cibo. Infine sono stati gentili nel lasciarmi in una zona vicina alla mia abitazione.

Experiencia positiva: The guide was kind, but the visit to the factory/shop, where we had also lunch later, was not very informative and too commercial. The place where lunch was served was not cozy. The next night I had gastroenteritis. The visit to the shop for catholic items near Guadelupe church was unnecessary.

Experiencia fantástica: Fue una bonita experiencia. Los guías eran bilingües (español e ingles), siempre estuvieron pendiente de ambos grupos. Muy atentos y amables. El gran Toño (Antonio), nuestro guía, siempre dispuesto a ayudar y responder preguntas, hasta nos tomó grandes fotos al grupo y mi familia. La visita en la Basílica de Guadalupe fue muy espiritual, mis padres la disfrutaron muchísimo. A tomar en cuenta que puede ser un poco complejo para adultos mayores subir a la iglesia original donde la virgen se le apareció a Juan Diego. Teotihuacan siempre es espectacular, un gran recorrido. Solo hay que tener en cuenta que ya no se puede subir a la parte más altas de las pirámides y las estructuras en que se pueden tomar fotos hay que tener cuidado con los escalones son pequeños y tienen piedras que pueden dificultar el apoyo. Incluso mi padre se resbaló pero no pasó a mayores este evento. En fin, altamente recomendado este tour.

Experiencia negativa: False advertising!! The tour to Teotihuacan is advertised as 'you get to climb the pyramids' - this was false - the pyramids have been closed to climbing for many months. The pyramids were scheduled for the afternoon (it's pretty much 100% chance that it will rain in the afternoon during the rainy season). Yet they took us there in the afternoon, we were rained on and got soaked. The guide Carlos left us there to figure it out. He didn't want to get wet or something - he completely ignored the small pyramid and we got a rushed 5-10 minute intro to the complex and for us to figure out the rest. I took a few years ago a tour with a different company and they explained 10 times more stuff than he did. Bad planning, bad tour guide, sorry Carlos!

Experiencia fantástica: I had a great time as a solo female traveler. Everyone was friendly and made aome new friends. The only thing that I would have done differently is not spend so much money at the gift shop. The items were a bit overpriced which I get because the money goes back into the cooperative BUT when you are visiting the pyramids there are tons of authentic obsidian and crafts seller that sell the same items for cheaper. These sellers make their crafts at home and get their permit from the government so sales go straight to them. If I go back I'd love to buy more from them.

Experiencia fantástica: It was a wonderful experience for me. This was my solo trip, the organizers reached out the day before and shared the required details. Was easy to meet them at the designated place. The Driver and the Guide were helpful. This was bilingual and was helpful for me . The guide knew all the details and was open for questions. The best part was after explaining us the details, he also gave us time to explore the place around on our own for sometime and did not rush. Whether it was shopping or at the historic sites or during lunch, he did not rush and gave us ample time. Me being a vegetarian the lunch was extremely good and the guide was helpful in helping me choose the food as I was not aware of the ingredients which went in to the food. This was a wonder experience for me.

We did the balloon ride which was great, but after that we got mixed with a group that did another tour and we had to wait almost 3 hours for them. After we visited the pyramids, the other group continued their itinerary, had lunch and visited some other places where we were not allowed to join. Unbelievable how these people treat costumers, they didn't even bother to answer our message on WhatsApp when we complained

He is happy to answer questions and I definitely received a deeper understanding of the sites we visited than if I had gone on my own - plus all of the logistics are taken care of for you. Están en constante comunicación para evitar malos ratos con las manifestaciones que suele haber en la CDMX.

Experiencia negativa: We were in front of our hotel at 8:30 for the designated 8:35 pickup time. At 8:45 we called the office and were told that they forgot to pick us up. Ten minutes later they sent a text saying they would send an Uber to take us to meet the tour at Tlatelolco and said they would provide us with lunch (minus drinks and tip). We spent a few minutes viewing Tlatelolco from outside. We then spent about an hour and a half at the Guadeloupe shrine and the next stop was a restaurant. The food was terrible. We spent an hour there and we thought we were going to Tenochtitlan next. Instead we were shown a bunch of Obsidian and information about Maguey and led into an extremely overpriced gift shop where we were followed around and hounded to buy something. We were there for a very long time and left for the nearby pyramids at about 4:15. They closed at 5 PM, so we had very little time to see them and received very little information. The tour was advertised at being 8 to 9 hours long, but we didn’t get back to our hotel until 6:30, ten hours after the scheduled pickup time. The tour guide was friendly and personable, but we went on the tour primarily to visit Tenochtitlan and certainly didn’t feel that we got what we thought we were paying for.
