They were endlessly kind, patient, and organized through every curveball (hi, newborn life!). Our wedding wish was: simple, elegant, flower‑happy, and perfectly us—Mexico + USA in one dream day—and Yucatalove delivered beyond anything we imagined. They blended our traditions so naturally that both sides of the family felt at home, and every detail was thoughtful and photo‑worthy. Vendors: chef’s kiss. Timeline whisperers: invisible when they should be, everywhere when it counted. Team: sweet, calm, unflappable. My husband is from Mexico, I'm from the US, and we live in Germany, and even with all this we were able to plan the most amazing and gorgeous wedding from start to finish! I had a very specific vision and the team had no issues doing multiple revisions, and edits to the design and layout until I was 100% convinced and happy with the final product! The team at YucataLove worked with us from several timezones away, and on a fixed budget and we still managed to have everything we wanted and more. They know all the best and most reliable vendors from food trucks to florals, musicians and photographers. We couldn't be happier with how our wedding day went, the attention to detail and the care they put into making sure my husband and I were fed and enjoying the night was priceless. When we chose a destination for our wedding venue so far away from home (we live in Washington, DC) we were apprehensive that our options for vendors would be limited and that our ability to truly customize our big day would be difficult. But Laura (Lau) and her team quickly put our minds at ease. Lau and her expert team took the time to get to know us, to understand what we really wanted in our wedding experience - not just on the wedding day, but in terms of an extended wedding weekend that brought our guests together to showcase our love for Merida and the surrounding area. It all came together seamlessly both on the wedding day and throughout our weekend events (our welcome drinks in Merida and our pool party the day before the wedding). During the process, we were able to come down to Merida to visit with caterers, vendors and design teams which greatly enhanced our ability to bring our wedding weekend vision to life. We'd recommend couples make a similar trip happen if they can - but Lau and her team were fantastic about searching and refining vendors and entertainment remotely in case an extra trip is not possible. Lau's patience and openness to custom refinements and requests for additional options even when it came to minor details was a welcome relief - she truly has a joy for her profession and always sought to ensure we were happy and comfortable with our decisions. Experiencia fantástica: We will never stop radiating the joy that our wedding day brought us. Nothing would have been possible without this diligent team. Mafer, Silvia & Moni were of some that helped make our day so wonderful. Throughout the planning process, the entire team worked so hard for us. Any questions we had were always answered so promptly, and any request to the team was always granted with a smile. Us, along with our guests, were absolutely blown away by the way all of the wedding elements came together to make everything perfect. The team helped advise my husband and I of the different vendor options, and well as helped with budgeting. I came into the process with with a small vision board of what I wanted my day to look like, however due to my lack of creativity, I relied heavily on the design team to help my vision come to life. Come wedding day, I felt like I was on a movie set. Seeing the team and the vendors working so diligently to make everything perfect was so exciting to see. After personally speaking with a few vendors, they also assured me that the Yacatalove team is the best in the area, which speaks volumes. Now that our wedding is over, I am sad we no longer have our bi-weekly meetings with Mafer, she was so great and radiated happiness and good vibes. We miss her so much! If you’re looking to get married in the Yucatan, the best decision you can make is hiring Yucatalove!

Experiencia fantástica: The YucataLove team planned our Nov 2024 wedding in Merida, Mexico and I cannot say enough amazing things about them. We are from the US and they made the entire destination wedding process wonderful. If you are thinking about getting married in Merida, DO IT. And do it with YucataLove. Don't think twice. They did everything for our 150 person wedding, including venue tours, photo sessions, and an 18 month white-glove service planning experience. This included all vendor research, coordination, pricing and payments, lookbooks, design services, guest coordination, shuttle services, travel support, save the date, website, catering, entertainment, lighting, signage, and florals. They also planned our welcome party at Arcano, a private beach day club at El Haguay in Progreso, a chinese tea ceremony, rehearsals, and helped with our private boutique hotel planning at Palacito Secreto. They are organized, experienced, know the local market and vendors, and they coordinated services we wanted outside the norm. They really made our dream come true! They went above and beyond for EVERYTHING, making sure our happiness was their top priority. During every visit including the wedding week they had a team present to make sure we were always taken care of. And their execution on the day of the wedding was flawless! Even when we thought it might end up raining on our wedding day, they helped with a plan B that we were still excited about. It didn't end up raining and everything was perfect! Seriously, the day was PERFECT. We simply couldn't have done this without them and to top it off: they are the kindest, most lovely people. I look back fondly not only because of the wedding, but because of the entire planning process because of their team. Not many people can say that I consider them friends now and I want to return to Merida just to visit them. Thank you Yucatalove for making the memories of our lifetime!

With the entire team backing us up, we were able to navigate many (many many) contracts, quotes, negotiations, and design proofs. They took so much of the guess work out of wedding planning so we could focus on the fun stuff. They never made us feel like any idea was out of the realm of possibility, while gently reminding us of our budget haha. Even when our incredible wedding planner, Silvia, had an emergency to temporarily tend to, the entire team jumped in to help out in the meantime, specifically Mafer, Ana, and Laura! The meetings and emails were so helpful to stay on track with everything!

We looked at many wedding planning services around the globe and even before we committed to them, they showed us venues and estimated budgets to really visualize the area. We are exceptionally happy with our decision to be one of their clients. We worked with Laura and her team during the duration of the planning process. She was great!! We scheduled two meetings a month with her and each meeting was well planned out with objectives to accomplish. If we had any questions, Laura came ready to deliver with many options for us to pick from. If there was a want, she found a way to make it happen. Laura eased our worries and always knew what to say and how to approach every situation. No stone was left unturned. It was great meeting with her twice a month and we will miss it! She’s a wonderful person. We went to our venue sight unseen and relied on their expertise to accomplish the look and feel we wanted. Many of our guests commented on how brave we were considering we had not visited the venue yet. It is all thanks to the YL team that we had full faith they could deliver the vision. Their expertise with flowers, lighting, DJ services, dance floors, signage, and many other aspects were exactly how we imagined. They always worked within our budget and offered alternatives or solutions to how we could achieve our dreams. Their “catalogues” on different vendors helped us compare very easily and efficiently. On the day of the wedding we didn’t have to worry about ANYTHING! Laura and her team handled every situation to a T. We wanted to enjoy our wedding and we did because we knew they had it handled. YucatanLove will always have a special place in our hearts.

Experiencia fantástica: We had the best experience working with Yucatan Love to plan our destination wedding at Hacienda Sac Chich. Having booked the venue sight-unseen, my (now) husband and I were unsure about how to plan the actual details of the day. We decided to look for a local wedding planner and, from our first meeting with Laura, we knew we were in great hands. The communication was excellent - she walked us through the process from start-to-finish, scheduled monthly meetings, gave us homework to do in between (including a survey at the beginning about our wants/needs) and set up a WhatsApp group where we could bug her and the team at any time with clarifying questions or new ideas. Everything was organized and no details were missed. We really enjoyed the planning process; from mariachi and cigars during cocktail hour, to the layout of our dream dinner table, to surprise fireworks at night - Yucatan Love’s experience, familiarity with the venue, plus their network of vendors, helped bring our ideas to life! Laura’s team even did some on-the-ground shopping for us and found local hot sauce bottles for us to give our guests at souvenirs. A personal touch that everyone appreciated. We also loved that Yucatan Love had a travel concierge service which we made good use of. We booked transportation (to/from the airport), our welcome party venue in Mérida (Mercado 60) and even leveraged them to plan parts of my husband’s bachelor party in nearby Progresso. On the day of the wedding, Laura and her team were on site to make sure everything went as planned and were ready with back-up plans (e.g. in the case of rain) so there’d be no disruptions. The day was PERFECT. I repeat: The day was PERFECT. Seriously, we had the most incredible wedding ever and our guests were in awe at every single element. We couldn’t have done it without Yucatan Love and highlyyy recommend their services to anyone planning a wedding in Mérida or surrounding Yucatan area. Forever grateful <3

I am still amazed by Silvia's attention to so many details, her constant warmth and professionalism, and her unwavering attention to us as a couple. She not only was able to juggle so many vendors / details, but was also able to make our unusual customized asks happen. During the actual weekend of the wedding, she stayed with us all day/night throughout the multiple events. She handled our large families as well as all unexpected last-minute issues on the day of the wedding. It was clear that Silvia genuinely cared about making our day perfect. I don't know how she does it! While most people find wedding planning to be a stressful hassle, Silvia made the whole thing a pleasant breeze. I know there is no way our wedding could have been as amazing as it was without her. I sincerely will miss seeing her monthly / weekly. Experiencia fantástica: My husband and I interviewed several wedding planning and design teams in the Yucatán, ultimately leading us to select the Yucatalove (YucatanLove) team to help curate and facilitate an experience that our guests (and ourselves) would love — and we cannot rave enough about the ENTIRE team. From the beginning call with Mafer, we instantly felt a connection to the energy that envelops the entire team. She initially made us feel so comfortable and at ease about planning a destination wedding. From there, we began our calls with our planner, Silvia, and instantly felt connected to her. She is the embodiment of kindness, organization, and thoughtfulness. Our bi-weekly meetings soon felt like chatting with a friend helping our wedding journey. We simply could not have enjoyed the process as much as we did without Silvia. We had the pleasure of traveling to Mérida several times throughout our process, allowing us the opportunity to meet our entire team, including Mar and Alvaro, our wedding designers, who worked with our vision and their skill sets to execute the picture-perfect wedding. We were able to go to our wedding location a number of times to go through logistics, our vision, and the fine details that we had not thought of. Their level of expertise and eye for design are top-notch. Ahimsa and Kate were our planning executives, keeping us on top of decisions that needed to be made and unfolding developments and details. Their level of organization and style of communication was absolutely perfect. If you have made it this far reading this review, our November 2024 wedding was nothing short of perfect, and our gratitude for the Yucatalove team is overflowing. A HUGE thank you to Silvia, Mafer, Mar, Alvaro, Kate, Ahimsa, and everyone else working behind the scenes, who made our wedding the best day of our lives. We miss you already!!

We contacted several wedding planners in the area at the beginning of our process, and YucatanLove immediately stood out. They replied to us quickly and professionally and were ready to get started, which was so much more encouraging than other companies we talked to. Also, as an LGBT couple, we were completely upfront with them about wanting a planning team who would be completely affirming and inclusive. They gave us 100% confidence and were happy to share that they have worked with many queer couples before and were excited to work with us too. Throughout the entire process, the team showed us that we were welcome just the way we are, and they didn’t try to put us in a box. We worked first with Laura and then with Silvia and Linda and they are all sooo amazing!! They really understood us as a couple and understood that our needs and wants for our wedding might be different from other couples. It was even their idea to add rainbow lights to the palm trees during our reception to help show our pride ️‍ Starting 18 months before the wedding, we had frequent meetings with the team and they were super organized all the time. They are connected with excellent vendors and worked with our budget, and could suggest additional vendors if we were looking for something different. It was amazing seeing the wedding journey and design templates come together over time, the team left out no details. Linda and Silvia especially were really helpful as the day got closer, coordinating all the details on WhatsApp and replying to us really quickly. We were able to ship a few things to their office and drop off additional items a few days before the wedding that they brought to the venue for us. When the packages arrived, they even opened them and sent us a picture of the contents so we knew what it was and that it wasn’t broken The team also knew our venue like the back of their hand and we truly did not have to worry about a thing on the wedding day. When I started getting nervous and asking too many questions on the wedding morning, Silvia calmed me down and assured me that everything was fine, and, of course, it was!! The whole day was perfect, and we got these stunning sketches of our venue and all the design elements painted by their designer, Mar. They are so beautiful and an amazing memory. The YucatanLove team made planning a destination wedding as easy as possible and we are so grateful. We highly recommend any LGBT couples who want to get married in Mérida to work with them to have a happy, inclusive, and affirming dream wedding experience. ❤️

Experiencia fantástica: My husband and I decided to get married at a hacienda outside Merida in 2022. We interviewed many wedding planners and YucatanLove was, by far, the most professional and friendly. We hired them immediately. They were organized with spreadsheets and their expertise was clear. The spreadsheets were on a Google Drive. Our communication was constant and quick on WhatsApp. We traveled to Merida and toured about 8 haciendas and we chose Hacienda Tamchen. For the next 15 months, we worked with Lau, our wedding planner at YucatanLove. We hired around 30 vendors, had 3 pre-wedding events, a welcome party, and a rehearsal dinner - not including our actual wedding. YucatanLove and Lau were there every step of the way. They created beautiful and magical moments in a transparent way. The organization and budgeting was clear. Lau was always open to revising plans based on schedule and budget. Their confidence alleviated our concerns and nerves. This was important because this was a destination wedding, and our meetings were virtual. During our 2nd trip to Merida in 2023 for vendor selection and cocktail and food tastings, YucatanLove organized the entire trip and drove us to meet the vendors. It was special to build a relationship with Lau in person during this trip. Our wedding was magic. YucantanLove and Lau made this happen. Once we were engaged, we came across Yucatan Love's instagram and fell in love with the weddings they would post about. We quickly decided to work with them and were lucky enough to have Lau and Ahimsa as our wedding planners. The wedding planning process was never stressful with them at the helm and when there was any slight bumps in the road, they always had two or three solutions. We were never told no to any of our ideas and instead would give us alternatives to make our vision work within our budget. The end result was an amazing wedding. Since my husband and I are based in NYC and had a destination wedding in Mérida, all of our meetings were virtual. Our primary planners were Laura and Ahimsa, and they went above and beyond to make our wedding day magical. All of our documents were efficiently organized via Google Drive, and the team was readily available and responsive on WhatsApp. The team was also very attentive to our wedding style, and they always found a way to make the impossible possible. Every planned design, layout, and schedule envisioned prior to the wedding day was executed EXACTLY as discussed on the actual wedding day. Our wedding guests told us they had the best cocktail food/drinks and 3-course wedding meal ever, thanks to the vendors that YucatánLove suggested. Experiencia fantástica: This is a 100% recommendation for YucatanLove. As others have iterated below, YucatanLove is a professional and charming team that works endlessly to make your wedding go off without a hitch. Our wedding was at Hacienda Itzincab in December 2022 with a guestlist of around 80 people coming from different states in Mexico but mostly the USA. We (from the USA) had reached out to YucatanLove in December of 2020 so we had 2 years to work with them and develop a plan (even in the context of COVID). We are a relatively young couple (early to mid-20s) and, because we were one of the first of our friends to tie the knot, I was a little nervous reaching out to wedding planners initially because of 1) COVID and 2) being in a whole different country. However, YucatanLove responded to my inquiry within a day and, when it came time to choose the wedding planner, there really was no doubt about choosing them. They set our expectations for the timeline from the very beginning and were excellent at communicating when we needed to schedule a virtual meeting. They even took us around Merida to meet with vendors and go over details in March 2022. We spent a considerable amount of time talking with Laura and, closer to the wedding, Linda about our wedding details. Both are rock stars and have unbelievable work ethic. My now-husband and I had never gone to a wedding of this scope so Laura was very masterful in pulling all the elements of our vision from just our Pinterest board and our meetings. On top of this, both the groom and I are Mexican-American so we wanted to make sure that elements of both cultures were represented (especially in DJ and the officiant) and it definitely was thanks to YucatanLove! I never thought I could have our wedding ceremony in Spanish & English/Spanglish but they made it happen. Quick story, during one of our January 2022 meetings (a whole year from the wedding), I had briefly mentioned that I had seen (in a wedding vlog) that there was a cool backpack that shoots out mixed-alcoholic drinks for the reception/dance portion but I ultimately said I didn’t want it (though I am sure my face said differently). Time went on, meetings passed, and I had completely forgotten about it. Fall of 2022 comes along and, to my surprise, I saw some quotes for that very backpack in our meeting agenda in Google Drive. Laura had seen my interest months earlier, made a note of it, and then took the initiative to reach out and request the quotes so that I could get this elusive backpack (or at least make a more informed decision about not getting it). We ultimately got the backpack (see pictures added to the review) and used it during the reception to get everyone pumped - it was so so fun! Our guests loved it. I share all of this to say that YucatanLove is essential if you are considering a wedding in Yucatan. My family and friends were constantly asking me before the wedding if I felt nervous and stating how I didn’t seem stressed or like a bridezilla in the slightest. How could I when I had Laura and her team, with all their expertise and care, supporting us every step of the way?! Side note: (This is for Private Haciendas - Hacienda Itzincab since I couldn’t find their Google page to leave them a review) They were absolutely amazing! We had chosen this hacienda because of its beauty but also because it had 14 rooms you could book for the wedding weekend for the couple and family (this was very important to us when picking a venue). The staff at Hacienda Itzincab went completely out of their way to make the groom and I plus all the people staying at the hacienda before/after the wedding feel taken care of. I’ve been to 5 star hotels before but this stood out in terms of service in comparison. We all wanted to stay for much longer.

They are not only professionals and extremely organized, but also they know their business perfectly. They always understood our needs & wishes, and suggested exactly what we were looking for. If you want to arrive with Elephant or a 2-meter Ice Statue at 30 degrees, they can make it happen. ( Non of the above approved by the bride ) Our wedding was supposed to take place 4th April 2020, just after COVID started. With out them we would have been definitely lost, but they reacted quickly and efficiently, re-arranging the whole wedding in record time, and managing that we did not lose any provider. Then, when the wedding day arrived, it started raining, and they were able to change the set up completely in a blink of an eye. The result was incredible, we could have never imagined a more beautiful wedding, everything was beyond perfection. Special mention to Laura, who made all the above possible. If it weren’t for her, we would have been lost. She took care of everything with the highest professionalism. It was truly a pleasure working with her, she is kind, understanding and the most organized person we have ever met! YL threw my husband and I the most immaculate wedding of our dreams, and truly beyond our wildest imagination. They planned our wedding in a little under 4 months, because of our own personal time constraint. Despite this, Laura never once sweated the deadline. She made us feel like we were her only clients and that our wedding was her priority. Their team pulled off a wedding that our guests continue to tell us "felt like they were at a wedding for movie stars." For the process, Laura and her team prepared a weekly itinerary with agenda items including the vendors for different services. This was followed with a weekly zoom call to discuss. The quality, professionalism, imagination, and work ethic of every vendor, including YL, was unrivaled. Laura and YL's team made our 115 person wedding go absolutely seamless and her care and attention to detail deserve all of the praise. i am sad that my planning time was only 4 months because I would have enjoyed working with the team longer, they were that amazing. Whatever you do, do not hesitate on their quality and experience. If you're like me, and planning the wedding from afar (Seattle in my case) trust that your wedding is in the very best hands. We did not travel down for any of the planning and everything was handled with ease remotely, including payments through YL. I cannot stress enough how fantastic it was to work with them.

Además todos los proveedores con los que tuvimos plática dijeron que aman colaborar con YucatanLove por su manera de trabajar. La razón por la que no doy las 5 estrellas sería únicamente porque no tuvieron cuidado con el budget, ya que lamentablemente nos pasamos por una cantidad excesiva y en ningún momento tanto mi esposo como yo sentimos que los planners estuvieron cuidando el budget, o buscando alternativas (hasta el final) para economizar costos. Otra razón es que teníamos que recordarles varias cosas, o estar detrás de ellos para ciertas cosas, por ejemplo actualizar la tabla de pagos, hacer observaciones que algunos de los contratos no eran coherentes con la cotización, etc. Fuera de que nos desagradaba sentir en ciertas ocasiones que estábamos detrás de ellos y que no cuidaron nuestro budget (lo último algo MUY importante), nos quedamos bastante contentos con el evento. El día fue mágico, los proveedores fueron de calidad, la atención y coordinación el día del evento fue máximo, y todo salió conforme al plan. Son personas además muy amigables y amables. Abiertas a escuchar lo bueno y lo malo, y a darte un mejor servicio una vez que les comentas lo que no te parece.

After my wedding, about 7 people asked me for their number! A little about us. I am Argentine and my husband is Mexican. We decided to get married in Merida because everyone told us about the haciendas and the people there. He went scouting with his mom and fell in love with the place. He had several interviews with many wedding planners, but from the moment he sat down with Yucatan Love, he said "they have to work with us". My husband and his mom were impressed by the professionalism of this team, the honesty and the energy and good vibes they gave them. Once I talked to them, still doubtful about the place because I didn't know Merida, I was instantly convinced. The pandemic hit us, and we had to move. Yucatan Love did everything all very professional and transparent. When we made the official visit, it was incredible. They helped us with everything. The truth is that I disregarded everything because they had everything under control. When I got nervous about certain things they already had the solution and if they didn't, they looked for it anyway. I was always calm and mainly the days before the big day, that with the pandemic that everything was changing, they were already ahead. I would choose them a thousand times more. All the recommendations they gave us were to another level. They always took into account all our concerns. Hiring them to be our wedding planners was the best decision my bride and I made, hands down. I could fill up an entire book with good things to say about them and their team at YUCATANLOVE! They saved us time, money, stress, and helped us create the wedding of our dreams in Yucatan, all from the comfort of our living room in Baltimore, Maryland. The wedding was beyond even our wildest dreams…it was like something out of a movie! Looking back, I can’t believe that was our wedding, everything was just perfect and exactly like what we talked about and agreed to during our 2-year planning period. Everything with the service providers that Luis and Laura booked went according to plan, the food was just out-of-this-world (who ever says that about wedding food?!?!), the DJ was dope, the lighting and stage was incredible, the whole event was simply a top-notch production. I didn’t even mention the flowers, the venue, the phenomenal photographers and videographers Hector and Vicky, and the amazing make-up and hair ladies that took care of my bride and her bridal party. Throughout the 2-year wedding planning stage, my wife and I were in the most-stressful time of our lives, as broke graduate students working and studying some 70+ hours a week. How does one plan a wedding under those circumstances…? Well, it wouldn’t have been able to happen if not for Luis and Laura. Even though a slight language barrier existed for me (my wife is a fluent Spanish-speaker), Luis and Laura accommodated me in every possible way and they speak very good English. They answered any and all questions we had throughout the process; no matter how small or silly a question may have seemed, Luis and Laura took it to heart and had a genuine honest answer for us. That’s the best way to describe the two of them, genuine and honest people. Throughout the process, we always felt like our wedding was the most-important and only one that they were planning. They helped us plan, design, and coordinate our entire wedding weekend in Merida, and we were amazed by the result! I know it is a bit scary to plan a destination wedding in a different country (I currently live in the USA), but I never felt like we were marrying in a different city. They responded promptly to every single of my emails, even my parents questions! They even responded to the many emails and questions my dad (yes, my dad) made to them. I guess they just want the couple, and in our case our families, be comfortable during the wedding process and reassure us that we were in great hands. The YucatanLove team really puts a lot of time and effort to every one of their events. Each event, in our case welcome dinner and wedding reception, was planned and designed to be unique and original. They are extremely knowledgeable about the culture and history in Merida, and will make sure the events highlight all of the beautiful things the Yucatan peninsula has to offer. They also work with a lot of different vendors, so you never feel obligated to work with a specific vendor. They present multiple options and if you are still not satisfied, they will not stop until they find the perfect vendor for you. They work in a very organized way and you have access to all of the documents at all times, so there is no question about where your money is going. Also, you will not have to worry about a thing during your wedding day or event! Our wedding involved a lot of production and I never had to deal with any of the vendors, I just enjoyed my time in Merida and walked into the most unbelievable wedding reception. Last, but not least, the thing I loved the most about working with them is that they always made me feel as if they cared about our wedding as much as my now husband and I did. I sometimes even forgot they were planning other amazing events because I always felt as if my wedding was the most important thing to them. I could see their excitement on every single meeting, and their dedication is truly outstanding. They will definitely go the extra mile to make your wedding amazing. Experiencia fantástica: My husband and I got married in Merida last November and it was the most beautiful and amazing day, thanks to the help and coordination of the team at YUCATANLOVE! They provided the most wonderful experience and service throughout the whole planning and coordinating process in addition to the day of the event. I wholeheartedly recommend them and can without a doubt say that on a business level they are amazing and on an individual and personal level they are EVEN better. Please read the full review below for more details. Since the moment we contacted them via email they went above and beyond to provide great service. They responded quickly and effectively. Before meeting the wedding planners I was in contact with Anaid, the office representative who set up a meet and greet to go over a presentation of the services offered. Living in Miami and never having been to Merida, upon our arrival she contacted us to greet us and welcome us to the city. She made sure to provide directions and any assistance we needed...all before even meeting her or the team. This to me, was so key in setting the foundation for a great relationship! After meeting her and the planners, Luis and Laura, we knew this was a good match and we fell in love! They understood our tastes and our vision, easily and flawlessly. Throughout the process, they were so organized through the use of google drive, creating a structured process for the presentation and selection of venues and vendors. They created a whatsapp group chat where we could write/call with any questions, ideas, thoughts, anything. They always responded quickly, with much care and understanding. We coordinated frequent skype conversations where we could discuss more specific details such as the feel and mood we wanted to create, decorations, flowers, payments, etc. always staying on task and on time with the timelines agreed upon. On three occasions, they welcomed us to Merida, taking the whole weekend to show us around. They would pick us up from our hotel so we could check out venues for the rehearsal dinner, meet the caterers, hair & makeup, the priest who would be officiating our wedding…you name it, every single detail was attended to. The best part is the relationship we built with them. We are proud to say that months after our wedding we are still in contact with them. The rehearsal dinner and day of the wedding was nothing short of perfection! They minute to minute was on point, everything was on time and flowed effortlessly. They were there, every step of the way, taking care of everything so that my husband and I could enjoy our day. They even gave me a small yet extremely meaning wedding present as my bridesmaids and I were getting ready, a beautiful Yucatan doll which now sits in the study of our home. Additionally, they helped my husband plan a flash mob surprise from one of my favorite movies! I could not say enough wonderful things about them, words don’t do them justice! Thank you so much Luis, Laura, Anaid, and the whole YUCATANLOVE team for making our dreams a reality. I hope that this review and the many, many other reviews prior can show interested couples in hiring YucatanLove another point of view and the positive and pleasant experiences representative of their work.

Experiencia negativa: They ruined my day , no value added. Initial contact was flawless, excellent communication and sales follow-up, but slow after, with mainly copy-paste templates, wrong contract dates, plus their proposed wedding board was just a copy-paste of the Pinterest board I created, therefore no value added. The main problem was their service attitude: Due to what I believed were high marked-up prices, I brought in some of my own service providers, given that Yucatan Love was paid to coordinate the wedding, they should have agreed without problem, however, they were not pleased with the idea, on the wedding day they did everything to sabotage it. The very day of the wedding they deliberately did the minimum to coordinate with providers that were not hired through them, this was noticed not only by me but by my guests who interfered to help me coordinate. Their attitude towards me on that day was cold and unresponsive, I did not enjoyed it. The event rundown was not followed, during the event Laura Guillen was seen coordinating the food , service hired through them, but others were just not taken care of. For example we were supposed to show a video after the dinner, she probably forgot or did not care about coordinating this. It was mainly the head of waiters who was in touch with me throughout the evening not Yucatan Love. Another problem was that it was evident through many of their emails and conversations that they wanted me to use the providers, for instance in regards to Alcoholic Drinks: 1. We used the same mixologist provider as proposed by them but hired through me for a much lower fee. 2. Furthermore, later I found that there are wine importers in Merida that can help with the wine import process. They just told me this could not be done, they suggested to use La Europea, one of the largest alcohol provider in Mexico, probably because of commission. To be honest, I understand that it is a common practice for planners to obtain a commission in Mexico from the service providers, however, given that they charge a service fee for their planning service this practice is non acceptable. I could go on with details on what went wrong but the conclusion is that they did not fulfil their service as professional and transparent wedding planner, their value added probably is to contact providers in Spanish if you are not able to do so but would not go further than that. Yucatan Love claims all the failures were to be blamed on me, due to the slow confirmation on my side or changes we made last minute, but it was undoubtedly their slow reply and non-adherence to budget that contributed to our decisions. If you decide to work with them, look for a second opinion to their claims, and sign a non-disclosure agreement. We are currently under the process of filing an official complaint to the PROFECO, the agency in Mexico in overseeing customer’s protection. Experiencia negativa: Oh dear, I went to my cousins wedding in a beautiful Hacienda, everything was gorgeous. Except for the wedding organizer Laura Guillen. Dear me, I have never been mistreated and felt so abused as much as with this person. She not only stoled bottles of wine, but also she hide the cheese from the guests. We had to stood up and start organizing the starters, and the movements of the guests. Basically a total disaster from her part and her company. Honestly, If you want your special day to flow smoothly don't hire her expensive abusive services, or have a great family that will help you out. I am sorry that people like Laura fails on the day. It is a real shame.

Experiencia negativa: Definitivamente la peor experiencia de mi vida. No los recomiendo para nada. Yo los contraté ya que viviendo en el extranjero y casándome con un extranjero necesitaba a alguien que me organizara el papeleo de la boda civil en Mérida. Solamente una vez pude hablar con el organizador, todas las demás veces lo tuve que estar persiguiendo y generalmente solo me contestaba la chica de administración que ni organizadora de bodas era. Me hicieron gastar mucho dinero de más a lo tonto puesto que su información era errónea, me afirmaron que podía hacer mis traducciones en el país en el que me encontraba y al ir ellos al registro civil les dijeron que no era posible que tiene que ser con un traductor certificado en México (yo ya había pagado las traducciones y envío que no eran nada baratas en mi país de residencia). Ellos no se quisieron hacer responsables de su error y tuve que que pagar de nuevo por ello, aparte de todo me mencionaron que ellos me estaban haciendo el favor de hacer las traducciones porque no era su trabajo. Y cuando te urge que puedes hacer? Cuando por fin ya era el día de mi boda, el organizador no revisó el acta de matrimonio que estaba mal, tuvo que ir con la juez a corregirla al registro. Cuando regresaron verificamos y ya había sido corregido el error pero no nos dimos cuenta que hicieron otro error que no estaba antes. Increíble que el organizador nuevamente no la haya revisado y nosotros con la emoción no nos percatamos en el momento. Estando en mi luna de miel revisé mi acta y me di cuenta que estaban mal varias cosas. Obviamente les llamé inmediatamente y me dijeron que ellos no es su responsabilidad hablar antes de la ceremonia con la juez y tampoco revisar las actas. Entonces cual es su trabajo? El de mensajería? Obviamente el "director de la empresa" nunca nos contestó y se escondieron de nosotros. Tuvimos que regresar de nuestra luna de miel para arreglar sus errores directamente en el registro. Y eso obviamente nos costó tiempo, dinero, corajes y buscarnos nuevos testigos puesto que nuestros testigos ya habían regresado a sus países. Además de que se dicen bodas destino y solamente una persona hablaba inglés. Si realmente no quieren tener problemas acérquense a la ACIBEP ellos pueden ponerlos en contacto con organizadores de bodas certificados y avalados.

Experiencia fantástica: I got married in March at Hacienda Uayamón near Campeche. At first, I did not think that I would hire a wedding planner, because I was going to have a wedding with under 50 guests and thought I could plan it all by myself in one year. However, about 5 months before the wedding I realized that there were still many details that I had not chosen that would make my big day exactly as I wanted it. I started searching for wedding planners and found Yucatan Love. I emailed them and they were so quick to respond and give me all the information I needed. They asked to Skype to go over any questions I had and to see if they were the right fit for me. Right after the Skype session, I realized that they were EVERYTHING I wanted. Laura became my wedding planner and she was so organized, smart, sweet and really listened to what I wanted. Everything was so much easier with her by my side. She gave me plenty of choices for vendors and understood my budget constraints. Since I am in the U.S., we did all of our sessions via Skype. She worked with my schedule and we easily communicated via Whatsapp. She went above and beyond and I can never thank her enough for making my day so special. Luis Angel was also great and helped with all the lighting and technical aspects of the wedding. On the big day, Anaid was also present to help Laura coordinate everything. Everyone at Yucatan Love did an amazing job. I highly, HIGHLY recommend them for your special day. Everything came out so much better than I imagined because of them. Al principio, no pensé que iba a contratar a un coordinador de bodas, porque iba a tener una boda con menos de 50 invitados y pensé que podía planear todo en un año. Sin embargo, aproximadamente 5 meses antes de la boda me di cuenta de que todavía había muchos detalles que no había elegido que haría mi gran día exactamente como yo quería. Comencé a buscar coordinadores de bodas y encontré a Yucatán Love. Les envié un correo electrónico y fueron rápidos para responder y me dieron toda la información que necesitaba. Tuvimos una sesión de Skype donde ellos contestaron todas mis dudas. Inmediatamente después, me di cuenta de que Yucatan Love eran exactamente lo que yo necesitaba para que mi boda fuera perfecta. Laura se convirtió en mi coordinadora de bodas y ella era tan organizada, inteligente, linda y realmente escuchaba lo que yo quería. Todo estaba mucho más fácil con ella a mi lado. Ella me dio un montón de opciones para los vendedores y entendido mis limitaciones de presupuesto. Como vivo en los Estados Unidos, hicimos todas nuestras sesiones a través de Skype. Ella trabajó con mi horario y nos comunicamos fácilmente a través de Whatsapp. Ella se esforzó al máximo y fue más allá de lo que yo esperaba. Luis Ángel también era genial y nos ayudó con todos los aspectos técnicos y de iluminación de la boda. En el día de la boda, Anaid también estuvo presente para ayudar a Laura a coordinar todo. ¡El equipo de Yucatán Love hizo un trabajo increíble! Los recomiendo para su día especial. Todo salió mucho mejor de lo que imaginaba y todo porque contraté a Yucatan Love.

Experiencia fantástica: My husband and I are still reeling in delight after the literal wedding of our dreams. Celebrating with over 100 friends and family in Mérida - Yucatan Love helped us to make every single person feel welcome, taken care of, and now are throughly enchanted with a destination most had never even heard of. Coordinating with Laura & Luis Angel was extremely organized and timely throughout the entire process. Yucatan Love coordinated two events with us - a wild and energetic welcome party and an Hacienda wedding from a storybook. At the onset, our planning intentions were small and with few details to be broached...at the end - it was quite the affair and one which required intense detail work, management, and coordination. Every aspect from the Welcome Bags (Custom Printed, and filled with extremely specific and delicious treats), to the live entertainment (carnaval performers, a drum line, fire dancers, musicians, a cigar roller, a live donkey!) were all outstanding, arrived at the scheduled time, performed with passion and blew Charlie and I as well as our guests away. Their vendor lists were extensive and truly delivered so many gorgeous and inspiring details. As a small design firm business owner myself based in Los Angeles, I not only know very clearly what I want, but I also have come to expect a very high level of service. I know that I threw A LOT of never before requests, design challenges, and detail oriented checklists at Laura & Luis Angel, and I must say that they were outstanding in the delivery of all and VERY willing to work through my vision to deliver a dream. If you are getting married in general, and more so in Mexico (I was humorously explained the expats well used phrase of "Flexico") I would suggest to expect the unexpected and be ready to soften your demands - that said however, the presence of Yucatan Love's professionalism and dedication to our events beautifully mitigated those hiccups for us and allowed us to MORE than thoroughly enjoy the evenings and our guests with pleasure. Experiencia fantástica: Al principio yo no quería contratar a un coordinador, pensando que yo iba a poder hacer todo por mi cuenta. Me vi convencida, por mi familia, de que no iba a poder hacer todo y que bueno que fue así. YucatanLove salvó a mi boda (y a mí nivel de estrés) varias veces. No solamente armaron todo el día de la boda--dejándome libre para arreglar y estar con mis seres queridos. También, ayudaron a resolver problemas que surgieron de ultimo momento. 5 días antes de la boda mis mariachis cancelaron y Laura nos encontró nuevos mariachis (que además salieron más baratos) dentro de 12 horas sin que yo tuviera que levantarme un dedo. La verdad es que estoy extremadamente feliz con la organización y capacidad que tienen los de YucatanLove. Y además hacen todo con una buena disposición y felicidad. Initially, I was not interested in hiring a wedding coordinator, thinking that I could do everything by myself. Thankfully my family convinced me that this was not the case and I got in touch with YucatanLove. YucatánLove saved my wedding (and helped keep me sane) many times. Not only did they do everything on the day of the wedding--leaving me free to get ready and spend time with my family, but they also help resolve many last minute problems. For example, 5 days before the wedding our mariachis canceled. Within 12 hours Laura had found us new (and cheaper) mariachis, while I did not have to even lift a finger. I am extremely happy with the organization and abilities that those at YucatanLove have and that beyond that they do everything with a smile.

Experiencia fantástica: Great customer service! Speaks English: I had a wonderful experience speaking with the wedding planner Luis Angel. I'm getting married in the Centro Historico in 3 weeks and with such short notice I and was having a very difficult time locating a Catholic church that would marry us! I found Yucatan Love through a google search... they have a great blog for couples who want a religious wedding along with a list of church recommendations. Luis understood my problem and instead of saying it was too close to the date, which, clearly that's the case, he gave me all the information I needed, including who to contact to help me through the process.... free of charge. Fingers crossed the Padre is willing to help! Luis seems to know everyone in Merida. I wish I would met him 3 months ago when I started planning... that would have made my life a lot easier.

Experiencia fantástica: We found Yucatan Love through searching the internet. Their webpage looked so professional that we decided to contact them. The first thing we contracted with them was a Tour of Haciendas around Merida (Yucatan, MX) to look at potential venues for our wedding. They had very good information and ideas about each of the Haciendas we visited, but allowed us to make our own decision on the wedding venue. Laura and Luis Angel, are very friendly, attentive and accommodating. A few weeks after the tour we hired them as our wedding planners and the most important thing to say is that our wedding was a DREAM! During the planning of the wedding, they provided a number of well thought out options for us to chose from. They were extremely well organized and helped guide us through the process of planning a destination wedding. Even when we weren't in contact with them, we knew they were working towards our Big Day. They provided constant information through texts, phone and video calls and e-mails which gave us the confidence that everything would be taken care of before and during the day of the wedding. All the team at Yucatan Love did a fantastic job and we now consider Laura and Luis Angel as friends. Thank you so much for all your hard work that helped create such a wonderful day.
