Experiencia positiva: So, overall the experience was excellent, given the size of the airline. I was able to connect directly with Pablo Sampedro, who was communicative and timely, and even arranged for our taxi and let us know what it cost so we had the correct change. The only issue I have with the airline, and the reason this isn’t a 5 star review, is that I never received a confirmation until I reached out initially; it would be helpful to receive an automated email after purchase with our tickets or flight confirmation number- truth be told, I was concerned I might have been scammed at first, just due to my unfamiliarity with this airline, and a confirmation email would have helped alleviate that. Also, the US number doesn’t seem to lead anywhere either, as I did try to call. Otherwise, great service and good prices.

Experiencia fantástica: This was our first flight on AeroTucan from Oaxaca to Huatulco. I was a little apprehensive because the first flight confirmation I received did not include any of our names or flight information. AeroTucan was responsive via WhatsApp and assured me all was fine. AeroTucan communicated that there’d be an additional stop in Puerto Escondido so we would be departing an hour earlier. The plane departed on time (for the new schedule) and arrived at our pre-determined arrival time, allowing us to meet our driver. The flight was smooth, scenic and comfortable. Customer service ( Pablo Sampedro) was always responsive. The pilot greased the two landings, and this comes from the wife of a pilot who also executes beautiful, smooth landings, so my expectations are high! I hope we have the opportunity to fly with them again!

Experiencia fantástica: This was my first time taking AeroTucan from Oaxaca to Huatulco. It was a great experience. Pablo Sempedro got in contact with me from the day before via WhatsApp ensuring I had transportation to the Airport and helped me coordinate a taxi. Note that the check in counter doesn’t open until ~7am. The flight itself was smooth in the propeller plane with really incredible views of the mountains and the beach. Fastest way to get to Huatulco or Puerto Escondido from the city of Oaxaca.

Experiencia fantástica: Epic! Look there may be a new highway but the joy of riding in the small plane behind the pilot is worth it. Great views, ride passes so fast. The team are also nice, we booked via whatsapp and they organised an airport taxi too for us. Also the new highway can have landslide issues that slow it down we heard.

Experiencia fantástica: It is a small operation, but the service was outstanding. Our flight time changed slightly and they personally messaged me and helped to arrange for transportation to/from the airport. The aircraft is small, but this made the experience even more fun - we could view the countryside throughout the entire flight: mountains, pueblos, the ocean. Experiencia fantástica: Can't fault the service or the experience. Aerotucan is really the only way to get from Oaxaca to Puerto Escondido or Huatulco. The service was excellent, Pablo checked in with us and arranged a cab on our behalf to get us to the airport. He was there to answer all our questions. On the day, the whole check in process was so smooth and easy. We were on our way in a fraction of the time it takes a jet to get organised to depart. Capt. Rodriguez was a fantastic pilot, very polite and professional. The flight itself was as smooth as silk and really quick. I honestly can't recommend this method of getting to the coast from Oaxaca enough. It's fuss free, reasonably priced and and an great way to travel.

Experiencia fantástica: Used Aerotucan to travel from Oaxaca to Puerto Escondido, was a really memorable flight! 3 days before the flight I was contacted by Pablo Sampedro in English via WhatsApp to confirm my flight and offer to organise my transportation to the airport. As the only flight of the day leaves very early in the morning, having a taxi organised for me was extremely helpful. It’s a small and more old fashioned plane but I felt safe the whole time and the experience was extremely unique! It’s not a big airline so there aren’t many staff on site but from my experience it was a reliable service and an extremely fast way (under 30 mins) to get from Oaxaca to Puerto Escondido.

Experiencia fantástica: We decided to shorten the time to get to Playa Zipolite by taking an Aerotucan flight from Oaxaca to Huatulco. On the website I had a problem paying for the tickets and when texting thru WhatsApp I got amazing help and was able to buy our tickets. They even helped us with a taxi that came to pick us up from the hotel early morning on the day of the trip. At the airport the check in was fast and sweet and we waited with another couple to board the plane. It is a small plane. 10 or so seats. I loved it! The pilot was friendly and polite and the flight was such a delight. Flighting much lower than big planes, you can see the mountains, rivers, beaches etc. in such detail. It’s absolutely stunning. All is all we recommend Aerotucan and we know that next time we’ll do it again!

Experiencia fantástica: The flight time from Oaxaca city to Puerto Escondido was actually 30min, making this a great option compared to collective van or private car. You also get to see more of Oaxaca from birds eye view! You book online and then you can whataspp chat support if you need further details and they can also help arrange taxi service. For my flight, I arrived to Oaxaca city Airport a little over an hour before my flight and I waited at the check in desk with the other passengers. I took the 7am flight and I walked through security without a line. Some items to remember. Your personal item/carry on cannot exceed 5kg. Your checked in bag cannot exceed 15kg.

Booked online via the website a few months before our trip, and was emailed confirmation right away. 3 days before our flight I was contacted via WhatsApp with instructions, and he kindly offered to book a taxi for us (which we accepted - taxi arrived at our hotel early and was great). Due to airport complications our flight was delayed by one hour, but we were told well in advance (and meant we got to sleep an extra hour!). We waited at the airport check in counter and the attendant arrived right on time, and the overall airport process was clear, easy, and went very smoothly. Our flight was quick, a great experience, and much more convenient than flying with a big airline. We will happily fly with Aerotucan anytime we’re in the area!

Hard to believe that when I looked originally for flights, different search engines directed me to fly to Mexico City and connect back to Huatulco, wasting a whole travel day, versus an easy one hour flight on Toucan. Experiencia fantástica: I’ve taken Aerotucan from Oaxaca to Huatulco and back in 2016 and once more for the same itinerary in 2024. The company is very nice, they offered to arrange for a taxi to the airport in Oaxaca this year. The plane is small, the ride is short (about 35/40 min). The pilot is excellent and while you are in a smaller plane, and turbulences can sometimes feel stronger than in a bigger plane, I have not felt unsafe at any point. The view from the plane is incredible. I think if you are looking for a way from Huatulco to Oaxaca, Aerotucan is a great option and I would use it again.

Experiencia fantástica: Es war ein toller, schöner, reibungsloser Flug. Man ist innerhalb von ca. 30 min in Puerto Escondido und man hat eine wunderschöne Aussicht noch dazu! Sehr aufmerksam war auch das wir gefragt wurden ob wir ein Transportmittel zum Flughafen benötigen. Pünktlich zur vereinbarten Uhrzeit wurden wir dann abgeholt. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Pedro from Aerotoucan arranged our airport collection with one hour notice and less than half the price of the hotels price. WhatsApp queries were answered quickly, it's like a concierge service! The flight itself was super cool and a great experience. Both Huatulco and Oaxaca were are new and super efficient, no queues, anywhere, at all.
