Experiencia negativa: We booked the Progreso Vistamar Beach Club Day Pass Excursion through Shore Excursioneer during our Margaritaville cruise — and what we received was not at all what was advertised. The listing promoted a relaxing, family-friendly beach experience with swimmable shoreline, a kids club, hammocks, beach swings, spa amenities, and more. Instead, we arrived to find a filthy beach, rusted knives in the sand, a cold, dirty pool, and none of the amenities promised. We were so uncomfortable, especially with a child in tow, that we ended up paying $50 out-of-pocket just to leave early. We raised these issues on-site and were told someone from their team would follow up. No one did. When we later reached out, Shore Excursioneer refused a refund, citing their 14-day policy — even though this was clearly not a case of cancellation or no-show. We were there. We gave it a fair chance. The problem was false advertising and unsafe conditions. And here’s the kicker: they’ve now quietly removed this excursion from their site, which clearly speaks volumes. Yet their only response was to offer a $52.96 credit (our deposit), valid for one year — a fraction of what we paid and no real accountability. I had hoped to become a repeat customer, but after this experience — and the way it was handled — I wouldn’t trust booking with Shore Excursioneer again. I’d strongly recommend travelers look elsewhere for excursions that stand behind their product and value guest safety and trust. *** Photos are what we received vs what was advertised. I wish we should have taken more photos to document this but with a crying child (because there's literally nothing he could do) it made things very difficult. ****

Experiencia negativa: Went on a tour with them in St John’s Antigua Terrible! From the lady who was checking us in she had no list of expected customers on the tour, no WiFi to look up booking. No facilities to pay balance other than giving her cash then no receipt…and she was quite rude. The driver and tour guide were friendly. Pineapple farm was terrible run down about 100 plants and a small piece of pineapple to try. The traditional Antigua home was more a cluttered mess with rooms roped off that they live in and the other areas just full of items. The beach stop with lunch was serviced out of big plastic tubs with flies everywhere. Our group all asked to go back early. Very poorly run and a waste of money which was said by all on our tour

Experiencia negativa: Buyer beware. You are on your own if you book through ShoreExcursioneer. Company provides zero support. We booked "St. John's Antigua Island Highlights Excursion" for 4/23/24. It was not at all as described. The 5-hour tour with designated stops turned into a rushed 2+ hour taxi ride with two quick stops. I submitted a review on the tour website which over two months later has still not been included in their reviews. Now I know why there are only 5 reviews and all are 5 star! I emailed ShoreExcursioneer twice detailing the issues we encountered. I received a response from the first email saying they would contact tour operator. No response on the second email...not even a feeble apology. Very unprofessional.

Experiencia negativa: I would never use this company again! No wonder they had openings when everyone else was booked. They canceled my Excursion in Jamaica without telling me. I arrived at the Meeting Point and waited over an hour. I talked to one of the other tour guides on-site who was able to get ahold of the company and they told him they weren't coming. They canceled due to low participation. OMG! Fine time to tell me! In MX, the Excursion was not as listed. Although our guide was nice, it wasn't what we paid for! Don't use them! You will be disappointed

Experiencia fantástica: We have used them more than 10 times over the last 8 years. Any time there was an issue (like we didn't make port), they handled it immediately. Only great service and premium excursions at a fraction of the cost of cruise lines.

Experiencia fantástica: We used shore excursions for 3 of our shore tours. We were not disappointed in any of them. The tour guides were all professional and well versed in the areas that we were touring. With the exception of one of the tours the instructions were accurate, and we met up with no problems. One of the tours said we would meet outside of the terminal with a shore excursion sign the guide was outside of the terminal but had our names making it a little hard to find. It all worked out. One should note that the three tours we took basically mimicked the tour offered by NCL however they were less expensive. We felt we lost nothing in using Shore Excursions. A message to them is regarding the tour at Santorini. The tour was great but at the end the line to get back to the tenders was a zoo. I think there should have been more time allotted to allow for this mess. We wound up going down the steps to get to the tender area and for 70 year olds that was a painful task.

Experiencia negativa: STAY AWAY AND GO WITH VIATOR, A REAL EXCUSION COMPANY. Had major issues with this company as we were supposed to have an all-inclusive beach day in Cozumel at Chankanaab for $190 dollars. After getting there, were were not allowed to use the pool and were told that they sold parts of the property, even though we'd been previously and had access and the documentation provided by SE did not call this out as an exclusion. After wasting an hour with local manager and Shore Excursioner company, they said their listing was not updated as they didn't know of the changes. They said that if I left right then, they'd give me a full refund, so we left immediately. I emailed them that day to follow up and get the refund processed as I also had issues with them running my card multiple times, but after a few days and all the extra charges cleared, they stated that they were not going to give a full refund as they changed their story and added extra steps that were not communicated and wanted me to go to a shop nearby to checkout. All of these issues were on their side and they guaranteed a refund, then changed the rules. Currently fighting these charges with my credit card company and do yourself a favor and find your trip somewhere else.

Experiencia fantástica: The best! I've booked numerous excursions through shore excursioneer and all have been on point. All info is valid and correct. You do have to meet them outside your cruise terminal, I never had any issues with that.

Experiencia negativa: My purchase clearly stated "all inclusive". The only things included were a mediocre buffet from noon to three and slightly chilled Kloster beer, also from noon to three. Any other beer was "extra", any mixed drink was "extra". Chair availability was first come first served. We left shortly after learning that they do not know the meaning of all inclusive. I spoke with Omar as I left and complained about the whole "all inclusive" statement was a total lie. He just looked at me like he could not possibly care less. Save yourself time, money, and great frustration. AVOID this business.

I am sad to see the low reviews here on yelp. I booked Mr. Sanchos Beach All Inclusive Day Pass Cozumel with them. I was sent and email confirmation with instructions and they were cheaper than the actual resorts rate. It was all very easy. Well I got on my cruise and the itinerary gets changed. We were due to arrive in Mexico a day earlier. When I booked with SE I selected a specific date. At the time I had no access to the internet so in my head the deposit we paid was lost. The day before we got to Mexico my husband upgraded his internet package and we had an email from SE with our new date for Mexico. We arrived at the resort and paid the rate agreed and no issues. I don't think SE was required to adjust my reservation but they did. I really appreciated it. I will definitely use them again.

They enjoyed the entire excursion and described it as moderate challenge to get to the river. Stressing that hard sole water shoes they recommend for you is necessary for the walk. We taxied from port to Sancho's, and they had our reservation in hand (even though I dropped the ball and forgot to print out our booking confirmation!) Experiencia fantástica: I booked a shore excursion with shoreexcursioneer to the monkey/sloth/bird sanctuary in Roatan during our ncl western Caribbean vacation for myself, husband and 8 friends. Our ship was going to get to port late. Email communications and directions by shoreexcursioneer was exceptionally good. The morning of I became ill and couldn't go. I am still extremely sad that I missed out. I am happy that my 8 friends said they had a fantastic time. There guide Brandon assured them they'd get everything in the shorter time allowance and back to the ship on time. Friends said the interaction with the animals was amazing, clean and fun. Snorkeling was a bit shortened due to time but most importantly Brandon got them back in time. I've used Shoreexcursioneer in the past all positives. I'm just still really bummed that I was too ill to meet sloths!

Experiencia fantástica: What a fantastic day at the beach. Seven of us caught a taxi from the cruise terminal to Mr. Sanchos beach club. We were immediately greeted and assigned the BEST waiter who literally waited on us the entire day. Total service. Spectacular. All the food and drinks we wanted (and we took great advantage of the specialty drinks!). we took an ad on package of horseback riding in Paris sailing once we got there and both were absolutely amazing. this whole package was so much less expensive than anything comparable through the cruise line. I am seriously coming back to Cozumel and going to the Speech club again in the next year or so because it was just so great.

Went back to the front desk and they finally located two for us. A separate are should be set aside for day visitors. The food at the buffet was good.

Experiencia positiva: Enjoyed our experience. It took a 15 min taxi ride for $20 for the 5 of us. Due to windy conditions, we were unable to parasail. Rough seas prevented snorkeling. The food was hot and flavorful. The beach was clean as well as the pools and restrooms. The first round of drinks was Amazing! On point with the alcohol content! The drinks after were diluted. Our waiter, Sauri, was sweet and gave us hugs and well wishes as we left. I will definitely make reservations for my next cruise!

Experiencia fantástica: Our tour guide Fernando was unbelievably amazing. We never like to do the touristy things and would rather experience with the locals. Fernando went ABOVE AND BEYOND to not only show us Roatan but to make us feel like the locals. He brought us to a small local chocolate shop, took us to a local beach front restaurant and ate with us to talk about local life on the island. He then took us to try some local fruit. He was informative, personable, and felt more like traveling with a friend rather than a tour guide. As far as the excursions themselves, they were just as amazing. The sloths and monkeys were a once and a lifetime experience and we were able to learn so much about the animals and other animals on the island. The snorkeling was breathtaking. Crystal clear water with so much marine life. I would easily give it 10/5 stars

It down poured the entire time we were there and after 3 hours we had enough and elected to be brought back to the ship! Never put our foot in the water! Just huddled under shelter with our rain ponchos on and shivered. Such a disappointment of a day! Spent $86.00 basically for lunch and 2 beers!

Experiencia positiva: We took the tour to the Mayan ruins at Costa Maya. The ruins are interesting and the guide was informative but it takes an hour to get there from town and the tour was only an hour long, requiring 2 hours of a bumpy van ride for 1 hour of touring. The driver was nice enough to take us to the beach for an additional hour before we returned to the ship. The instructions to get to the tour office were unclear.

Experiencia fantástica: Mr Sancho's Cozumel Resort was fun. Plenty of pools and beach fun also plenty of food and drinks. The waitstaff was fast, friendly and professional. Our food order arrived fast and delicious. I loved the clean shower and restroom facilities. Only the food and drinks were inclusive but it was plenty.

Our guide was nice, maybe could have been a hair more informative but we asked lots of questions when we felt compelled to and she was happy to answer them. We did have a very large group with people who decided not to show up until about an hour late and it did bother me that we had to wait for them but that's apparently a company policy? They still made sure we got our full tour in and we got back safely and with tons of time to spare before our ship left the port so I can't complain. We did the salt flats, Mayan ruins, private beach, and flamingos. The private beach was ok, a few annoying sales people blowing horns at us and such and the food was pretty lame but the drinks were decent. Still a better deal than an excursion from RC and we got to do a lot more. I felt very safe the entire time and we will use Shore Excursioneer again.

Experiencia positiva: This was the second time we booked this day pass. It was a 10 minute $19 each way taxi ride from the cruise ship pier. Taxi's were easy to get at both the pier and resort for the return trip. The resort was clean, nicely decorated, had friendly staff and the beach was beautiful. When we arrived we checked in at the desk, got our wrist bands and were on the beach in 10 minutes. The staff on the beach helped us locate chairs and moved them as we needed. There was bar staff on the he beach taking orders but it was tough to get their attention. Waiting at the bar to get drinks was an interesting process. Those displaying money for a tip were served first. We had lunch and a snack in the beach buffet and it was decent. The servers were attentive and filled our beverages when asked. We used the towel service which was easy and there were plenty of towels available. The beach was clean. We liked that there weren't vendors harassing you like some Caribbean islands we have been on. I would recommend this trip

Experiencia fantástica: This was a very nice, out of the way, and not overly crowded location. We met up with our group as indicated and were promptly loaded up and on our way. Stopped for a photo op then on to the beach. The resort there was smaller, but more than adequate to accommodate everyone. There were a couple of good snorkel spots and plenty of beach to walk. Found a couple of makeshift cantinas along the beach and felt obligated to stop in for a refreshment. We would definitely do this again.

The only minor complaint is when riding in the water, it was in a small cove connected to the ocean rather than in the ocean off the beach as I thought it would be, but was still a very unique and enjoyable experience.

The ruins were interesting and great to visit, but would have liked to learn more history of the specific site. Experiencia negativa: The tour guide is good and informative and the Pink salt and the Mayan ruins are ok, but not much to do there. the worst part is the beach resort which they take you, The food is pretty bad and some ppl in our group didnt buy the all inclusive so we there thinking of buying and the price tag says in mexican peso and we tried to pay the equivalent amount in USD and they insist us to pay way more than what it was mentioned in it. The ppl who bought the All inclusive had the worst mexican food ever you can imagine , some fajita and watery nacho cheese. The beach doesnt have clear water and not a great site. you will be better off just hanging in the ship or just take a taxi to go across the bridge and there were some hotels and beaches. I havent tried but heard that they are better than these trips.

Experiencia positiva: It was a fun experience. The rides and zip lines were exciting and the staff was mostly upbeat and professional except for the Flying Dutchman where the lady assisting was somewhat rude. We didn't have a ride back to the ship and had to wait for over an hour to be taken back. Then the ride took well over a half hour because we got caught in St. Martin Day parade traffic. Overall it was a unique excursion, even for a zip line course, but a little too expensive for what should have been a little more than a half day trip.

The bus we went on had to make two other stops at random hotels and beaches before going to the boat dock. Our boat was not even there when we got got and really pushed it on our time back to the cruise ship. Don’t recommend.

In year one, my itinerary changed and I was promptly refunded the difference. In year two, the local vendor had a communication breakdown and it was resolved before I could even get involved in the mixup. That level of customer service, the kind that works in the background, creates customer loyalty.

Experiencia fantástica: We shared a taxi from the port it cost us $4 per person. The resort was not too far away, the weather was amazing and the drinks and food were great! The water was clear and we felt safe and relaxed for the day! I would recommend to anyone looking to relax at a port. We booked the morning of and made a small deposit we paid the rest upon arrival the company called us to confirm it was a nice touch! Amazing day!

Experiencia positiva: We usually go to Mr. Sanchos beach resort but it was completely booked for a wedding this trip so we booked playa mia. We had a great time. There are definitely pros and cons. First the food...sanchos is far superior, playa mia tries some sort of american food buffet that isnt great. EDGE: SANCHOS Next, drinks...drinks are comparable at both places. We do love the "secret menu" at Sanchos. Also, sanchos dedicates a server to your table so you receive better service. However the lines werent long at any of the bars at playa mia. EDGE: SANCHOS Next, atmosphere: sanchos is great if its adults only. Playa mia is far superior for family fun with an adult to do. Playa offers free bounce houses in the water, free kayaks, free sailboats, free water trikes, has tons of chairs, you can rent an umbrella for $4, the parasailing price is better price at playa mia as well. Nothing is free at Sanchos. Pools are comparable at both places, and we werent really bothered by people "selling" things (braids, cigars, etc...) at playa. Playa also offers other amenities like an onsite Starbucks and shopping. While we love both we will visit playa mia with our family, and Sanchos when it's just us. EDGE: DRAW

Experiencia positiva: French Key Beach was beautiful but very crowded. There was not enough snorkeling or paddle board equipment to go around. Our driver, Chris, was wonderful and overall we had a great time. Cave Tubing and seeing the ruins in Belize was the best use of our time. The people who booked with the cruise only got to go cave tubing and spent 2 hours on a bus. We were driven in a van for our group of 9. T took great care of us and was an excellent guide. Our private catamaran and snorkeling experience gave us the freedom to experience Cozumel without a crowd around us. I will book again through Shore Excursioneer.

I was very hesitant to use another excursion group outside the cruise line, but based on reviews I decided to take a chance. I am thrilled with the experience, I am happy to say. It was an easy process, reliable, and it was fun. It was a much smaller group than we would have had if we went with the cruise line excursion, which meant more personalized experience. We toured the Stingray City, snorkeled the Coral Gardens, held the beautiful starfish. The guides did a great job explaining GC and the tour. Will use Shore Excursioneer again.

Experiencia negativa: Was too rushed for being the only guests with VIP swim pkg. It was an additional fee to get pics with all family members despite paying for the memories (Pic) pkg. no attention was paid to take our once in a lifetime pics. None have all of us looking or included our kids in the same shot. Kind of like a wedding photographer, you don’t direct them on what pics to take during your event. Booking coordinators aren’t helpful at all when booking first time guests. Had I not looked into it further on my own, our original pkg didn’t include pictures and you’re not allowed to take your own so that meant one of two things: no pics of the event or paying prices to get pics on the spot. Emailed them regarding my issues and their response was maybe other parks offer things I’m addressing. Wow ! Turning business away instead of trying to do anything make it right. Very disappointed and unprofessional! Definitely won’t be back.

We were only given the option to choose from jerk chicken or pork and only one beverage, rum punch. The service we received was subpar.

Experiencia positiva: Definitely 4 star not 5.... good but not fabulous. We got there around 10:30 am and there were NO chairs to be found. Beach area small but easy access over to the public beach which was kind of cool. Food and drinks were good, but again not fabulous. It was a bit of a long taxi ride from the cruise ship to this location (50 minutes or so) and we didn't account for terrible rush hour traffic going back and almost missed the ship.... overall a pretty good day and pretty good value for the price.

Experiencia fantástica: Julius Took 5 of us out on the 20’ boat. It was comfortable and we had enough room for our gear and our small group. The knowledge this man has on the history of the island is phenomenal. We enjoyed the education as much as we did the snorkeling. The Blue room is definitely something you should see on your trip it was breathtaking. The snorkeling was great as well. Be advised the water is choppy and the ladder on the boat is small and anyone on the heavier side will have a harder time getting back in the boat. With that said, Julius was a big help with this effort and made even this small annoyance totally worth the trip. I cannot say enough good things about Julius - we would personally request him on our next trip. Even the booking through Shore Excursioneer was smoother than expected.

Experiencia fantástica: Snorkeling with stingray in Belize. My girls had a blast. Nick, Nelson and Too Tall were the best hosts anyone could ask for. Nicks sister was on the trip as well. She was the same age as my girls. We enjoyed talking to her and Nick about the culture and schools of Belize. Very nice family owned business. Can’t wait for our next cruise. We will return to Belize and do the snorkeling again. Price was very reasonable. Loved seeing the reef and swimming with the stingrays

Experiencia negativa: Wished to pay for excursions with credit, paid deposit assuming the rest would be taken out the day of. Printed ticket and upon arrival to excursion the guy expected cash which in tiny print on the ticket it does state remaining balance due in cash. Disappointed family and ruined the time in Belize. The company should make sure buyer is aware of cash only after the deposit. So basically this company gets their money by our deposits only. The shore excursion company didn't even have our reservations.

Experiencia negativa: Beware Cancellation Policy!!! Due to unexpected health issues had to cancel more than 6 days in advance but forfeited deposit as the policy for the specific tour we'd booked required 7 days. Most other companies require 2 or maybe 3 days notice for cancellation. Once we sort out our plans we'll use one of them - NEVER this company!

Experiencia negativa: Cozumel Custom Private Jeep and Snorkel Excursion with Lunch (S1789) This is billed as an open air or convertible jeep. We had to ask the guide to take the top down for us, which they did reluctantly. Then the guide told us what we were doing. I said that I thought this was a customized tour and that my daughter (21) was interested in the ATV and horseback riding options. We also said we don't like the "tourist trap" places so could they take us to an authentic area where locals live and shop. They didn't accommodate either request. They said they didn't know where those options (ATV and horseback) were available and talked amongst themselves that maybe "El Sanchos" had those options?? When I asked about the cost of these extras they did not know that either. They estimated about $50 for 15 minutes on horseback! The guide said he would stop at this "El Sanchos" place during our trip, but that never happened. They conveniently never mentioned it again or made any effort to try to find where we could partake in those activities. These two options were the main reasons my daughter chose this excursion over many others. What a disappointment. Don't advertise it if you don't even know where on the island it is offered or for how much!! The tour description says: "You can choose the suggested itinerary below or customize your very own private Cozumel Jeep excursion with your guide. Remember, this is your private guide and jeep for the day! Try an informative visit to the Chocolate Factory or maybe a stop at Ocean Beach Club (no extra entrance cost for either). Or maybe ... a relaxing horseback ride and fun ATV excursion (available at an additional cost - options to discuss with your guide)." Also, "You have the options to customize your excursion with a stop at El Cedral." We were interested in El Cedral and were told it would also be an additional cost and it was quite clear they had no interest in going there. The tour description says nothing about it being an extra cost. We also told them we definitely wanted to snorkel. When we asked about the Chocolate Factory tour they said that would be an additional $17 per person! Description says it's included at no extra cost. But the description doesn't say anything about the "Tequila Distillery tour" in which they tried to strong arm us into buying ridiculously expensive tequila. We weren't able to customize anything. They told us what we were going to do, even if we had no interest in it. The jeep was in HORRIBLE and UNSAFE condition. At one point, the speedometer didn't work for at least 5 minutes. The driver's seat belt was rusted out and not useable, Instrument panels and knobs were missing. The gear shift was completely rusted. We felt very unsafe in this jeep. See pictures. Our guide said we were going to a turtle beach where the turtle nests are marked by flags in the sand. Well, we ended up at the TORTUGA (turtle) restaurant. There were no turtle nests, only hundreds of empty lounge chairs and almost no areas of open sand or beach. At 4:45 pm we are finally told we are going to have the LUNCH which was included as part of the tour! We were given a menu with three items from which to choose. We asked our guide if he was eating and he said yes, but he eats off a different menu! Our food was about as bland as any I have ever had. Obviously a "gringo menu" for the tour participants and a real menu for everyone else. So much more to say: left without chairs or umbrellas on a beach for an hour, we did not loop the island -- came back on the same road, had our own snorkel gear but were ignored when we asked for a snorkel spot, etc. In conclusion, our Jeep was NOT safe, we did NOT get to customize our tour, we did NOT get to do anything that we had expressed interest in, we did NOT eat lunch till 4:45 pm, we were NOT provided any snacks by our guide, our guide did NOT give us any info on the island as we were driving, but he did spend a lot of time talking about how he invests in crypto-currency and tried to get us interested in his internet marketing business!

Experiencia fantástica: Had a wonderful time at a wonderful price. I have never encountered any problems and everything went off without a hitch. Went there for the Scuba Diving, caught a cold just before we left the US & upon arrival, their concerned medical staff arranged for us to go snorkeling instead of Scuba Diving... Wasn't quite as much fun as the diving would've been, BUT, we didn't waste any time or money by getting sick, or waiting to well...

Experiencia negativa: Please do not waste your money !! This company is irresponsible, works with very poor local operators who do not comply with norms of professional ethics adn security, they don't cover the agreed conditions and expenses such as tickets to tourist sites. The tour guide / driver of my excursion was unprofessional and drank liquor while driving, even made a stop to urinate in front of us. This company not only ruined my visit to Belize, it also put my security and that of my family at risk.

Experiencia fantástica: I have used Shore Excursioneer several times for excursions while on a cruise. I have never encountered any problems and everything went off without a hitch. All excursions had been well depicted and were lots of fun. Our port in Belize ended up being cancelled due to weather and our deposit was promptly returned to us.

Experiencia fantástica: Playa Mia in Cozumel was a hit for the kids. They loved it! only problem was the guy at the Cozumel ticket center was swapped with people getting their wristbands and paying their balance off.....He need some help... although he knew what he was doing... Loved the Playa Mia water park and beach...Plenty of chairs, rented umbrella, and had some good drinks... Staff was wonderful... Food was not good... nothing special, it was picked up by 3:00 p.m. and some bars closed too.. making you walk further for a drink... never found a waiter to bring us drinks... All-in-All the kids loved It... Nuff said!

Experiencia negativa: Do yourself a favor and don't book through these folks. Pay a few extra dollars and use the cruise line. From personal experience, the companies they work with are not reputable. If you have an issue through the cruise line, you have nothing to worry about. If you use a company like this, you'll need to chase them for a refund or you'll be given bad information from their partners at the destination.

Experiencia fantástica: We did 2 excursions with shore excursioneer, and are planning on booking with them for our next cruise as well. In Ocho Rios, we did Dunns River Falls and the highlights tour. Despite the nasty weather and getting off of our ship late, we did not miss the tour. Our tour guide, Kingston, was wonderful and personable, he answered all of our questions and got us away from the tourist traps so we could see the real Ocho Rios. There we also only 4 of us in the van, so much nicer than being in a bus full of people. In Cozumel, we did the all inclusive Mr. Sanchos with horse riding. They had our reservations listed and everything was flawless. We were very pleased with our excursions, especially for the price!

Experiencia negativa: I used Shore Excursioneer to book a SCUBA diving excursion in Cozumel and a snorkeling excursion in Belize. One day after booking, I was notified that the only times available for the dive were too late, as I would not be able to return before to my cruise ship before it plans to depart. This was nice to know, so I chatted with customer service and booked a different excursion for 8 AM. Since SE doesn't show the available excursion times, I felt like SE should honor the same price, because the new excursion was more expensive. SE did not do this for me, but oh well. So, the next day I received confirmation for the new dive, but it would be at 1:30 PM, which is too late! Needless to say, I returned to chatting with SE and much waiting, I was told that I would get the excursion at 8 AM and quickly received a confirmation ticket for it. I was relieved to know that we had time to do other activities after diving! Once in Cozumel, our ship was arriving slightly late, so we called SE to notify the diving company and ask if we would make the 8 AM departure. SE said "no worries, everything will be fine." However once we arrived at our meetup location, albeit 15 minutes late, there was no one present from the diving company--not for another 2 hours did we finally talk to someone! The manager showed me on his phone a confirmation email for my booking at 1:30 PM, NOT for 8 AM! He worked it out for us to go out on the next boat, so kudos to him. The Belize port call was canceled due to weather/safety, so we called SE as soon as we had US cell service; this process was painless. The next day, I received an email saying that the refund would be processed within 24-48 hours. After 48 hours of no correspondence from SE, I chatted with SE and only then did I receive my refund (only the deposit--the bulk of the price is paid in cash at port, so that never needed refunding). TLDR: Shore Excursioneer messed up on our departure time, which resulted in 2 hours of waiting in Cozumel. Sure, it's beautiful, but those 2 hours could have been spent doing other fun things. I'm glad I didn't book anything else that day, because that money could have been wasted. Lastly, when asking for a refund for legitimate reasons, I had to bother SE about it in order to finally get the refund processed.

Experiencia negativa: Below is the email I sent to Shore Excursioneer expressing my issues with my trip. They denied my request for a refund then changed the description of the excursion and tried to tell me that was how it was when I booked. Luckily I had a printout of the original description. This company is horrible, do not use them. To Whom it may concern: I recently booked with you and took a shore excursion in Ensenada Mexico for the ATV/Zip line tour. I was extremely disappointed with the excursion. First off all, your website photos and description of the tour lead customers to believe that there is a nice scenic trail ride through trails, rivers, and sand on the beach. This is far from what the trip actually is. Once we got there, we were informed there is no trail or beach riding and they actually do not allow the ATV on the beach. In fact, the trip consisted of a 45-50 minute one way ride on city streets and highways to the zip line destination! This trip was extremely dangerous riding a non-street legal ATV in high pace traffic with big rigs and fast moving cars. If I would have known that the trip was going to be like this I would have never booked the ATV ride and would have taken the $3 round trip bus ride to the zip line tour. I feel I was cheated out of my money and did not have the fun experience that I signed up for. I believe I am entitled to a refund for this misinformation and bait and switch your website led me to believe how this trip was going to be. I took many pictures and video of our dangerous ride on the streets if you need me to send them to you for proof for my refund. You need to change the description and pictures on your website so that other customers are not led to believe this will be a fun excursion.
