The transportation to and from our resort was smooth and comfortable. The vehicles were modern, clean, and well air-conditioned—exactly what you want after a flight into the warm Cancun weather. While staying at Dreams Natura, the Amstar team on-site made it so easy to book an excursion. We ended up spending an unforgettable day swimming in caves and snorkeling in a beautiful lagoon, thanks to Amstar in partnership with Cancun Adventures. I highly recommend Amstar to anyone traveling to Cancun. Their level of service and professionalism made our trip stress-free and full of amazing memories. Without a doubt, I’ll be using them again when we return!

Experiencia negativa: TY-46 con esos operadores mueven al turismo y nos exponen a todos. 140 Km/h hoy 18/04/2025 en dirección al sur antes de PAMUL no perseguí al pelón para tomarle la matrícula pues doble en “U” pónganle pilas, para que luego no lloren las tragedias. Aventar lámina es fácil con 2 toneladas de una van, pero no son de hule sus operadores, capaciten y sancionen, prevengan.

Experiencia negativa: The worst experience ever. We booked a transportation for this morning with amstar from crown paradise to the airport at 7:14 .Alejandro the driver came at 6:55 am and rushed us by saying if you don’t wanna go right now I will go and leave you here. We tried many times to explain that we booked at 7:14 am and we showed him the reservation but he didn’t care and he was so rude and unprofessional. He ruined our day. Never book with AMSTAR. Poor service and unprofessional.

Experiencia negativa: This is the worst service we have ever received, eventually they have installed a new system. We waited 1 hour to be picked up at airport, then staff member was not at hotel as directed to book departure, I had to call and book it myself... after waiting on line for 45 minutes. THEN the departure ride was canceled 1/2 prior to leaving, even though we were there at instructed time. It took 40 minutes to connect customer service by phone was told to book another taxi service ourselves. We will never use them again.

Experiencia negativa: Blaming their contractors (aventour) and bad software system is a bad habit for this company. Everything that goes wrong, regardless of whether the sales person was putting in wrong info, or their drivers not complying with special needs that were requested, or drivers showing up late and falsifying information in their system saying they have arrived, are all blamed on something. If no one step up and better manage things, the reputation for this company will surely tank. It’s not like they lack competition. There’s plenty of room to improve.

Experiencia negativa: Horrible experience. They refused to take my family to the airport because we were 1 minute late for our pickup time. The driver said his app had scheduled another pickup for him. We had already paid, the driver was extremely rude and uncooperative.

Experiencia fantástica: We stayed in Catalonia Riviera Maya. We were looking for a quiet natural experience to feel the real Mexico, away from the touristic crowds. We met Mauricio. He showed us different options which fitted our requests and we got what we wanted and more! You are a star Mauricio! Jumbo Tik!

Experiencia fantástica: We took a tour of the Mayan Ruins in Tulum and then visited the cenote at Rio Secreto. Valentijn with Amstar made the arrangements for the transfer to Tulum and Rio Secreto. The tour guide was amazing and everything went perfectly. We did initially book a trip with another company at the hotel, but got cold feet. Valentijn made us feel like he had our safety and best interests in mind so we felt good n poking through him. So thankful for Valentijn, otherwise we wouldn’t have had this amazing experience with our kids.

Experiencia negativa: Our experience with Amstar was absolutely horrible and, honestly, one of the worst transportation services I’ve ever used. We paid $200 for a ride, which is already an unfair price, but what made it worse was the driver’s complete lack of professionalism and concern for safety. He was eating while driving, which was bad enough, but the real issue was that he was literally FALLING ASLEEP at the wheel. The entire ride was terrifying. The driver kept swerving left and right, drifting out of his lane, and making us feel completely unsafe. I’ve experienced bad driving before, especially living in New York, but this was on a whole different level. It genuinely felt like we were in danger the entire time, and I was just praying we would make it to our destination in one piece. After all of that, the driver had the audacity to mention that they “live off tips.” Despite everything, I still left a tip, but I regretted it the moment I stepped out of the car. This was, without a doubt, the worst taxi service I’ve ever used. Amstar needs to do better and hire drivers who actually care about the safety of their passengers. I would never use them again and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone

Experiencia fantástica: We booked the Isla murjeres catamaran & snorkling on boat #24 and it was amazing!!! The unlimited bar on boat and lunch food was great! The service was beyond amazing, they made sure everyone was satisfied with anything they needed. They really explained everything well and the snorkling guides were very attentive. We got to see the underwater statues, rented a golf cart and saw Punta Sur and ate at an amazing restaurant. We stayed at Haven Riviera and Memo, Dan, and Omar were amazing to help us with the process! Please do this if you are interested!!!

It was very expensive for the ride but it’s one hour each way so it makes sense. All of the drivers and staff were kind and professional. Gabriela Mendoza was a great help to us when scheduling our trip home and our excursion to the Cenotes.

Experiencia fantástica: Was at the Hard Rock for 8 days. Amstar provide transportation. When returning to the hotel my wife's phone fell our of her pocket. We didn't realize till we were walking to security. I went back out and the man and woman working the drop off immediately went into action reaching out to the pickup side of the airport. 5-10 minutes of calls and contact, the manager from the pickup side was in front of the United doors with her phone! They showed a massive amount of concern and when I was about to give up, they said "wait!" Great job Amstar!!!!!! Plus safe drivers and fast service with a smile!!!!!

Experiencia negativa: AIRPORT R/T TRANSFER HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE Let me begin by saying how much of a huge advocate I am in supporting my Latino culture as a proud Latina, however, horrible service should not be rewarded. This company is the worst! They literally were unresponsive! They made me late for my flight. It was ridiculous trying to get a hold of anyone who could help me. The AMSTAR WORKERS ONSITE were beyond dismissive at the Breathless Riviera in Puerto Morelos!!!! I will absolutely use private transportation the next time I come to Mexico! What a nightmare…. Btw I have a full blown chat in WhatsApp with the AMSTAR worker (EZZY) who confirmed the pick up time then stopped communicating once it passed the pick up time. #neveragain

Bryan Tox was the best representative who helped us book our excursions to Coco bongo as well as our excursion on a catamaran boat. Bryan also arranged our airport transportation and everything went great. My group of 20 individuals were extremely pleased with how helpful and attentive Bryan was. I would recommend using Bryan to anybody because he’s extremely helpful and always answers his phone. Our group could not be more happy.

Experiencia negativa: Left my daughter and I stranded 90 minutes away from the airport when our flight changed. They had zero cares to give. No uber, no private transport available what so ever. Just "sorry, we can't accommodate you". I will never trust this company again. Did I mention I was outside of the US when this occurred?

He was very helpful with finding the perfect excursion for our needs. Great, no-pressure, friendly, helpful service! He and his team made a great experience even better with his insight, suggestions, and knowledge of the area. Highly recommend the catamaran tour to Isla Mujeres. Great guide, amazing beaches, and perfect blue water! Bonus: got to see a stingray, a puffer fish, and other amazing fish while snorkeling off the boat! Highly recommend Victor Medina and the staff from Amstar at the Iberostar Paraiso Maya Resort in Rivera Maya!

Experiencia fantástica: My partner and I stayed in Haven Rivera in Cancun and had the best experience thanks to Memo! We sat down with him and discussed all the excursions/activities we wanted to do while we were staying in the area. Memo was able to book all the things we wanted to do, planning each day out for us! We paid around £1200 for all the excursions which we believe was good value, as we had lots of fun and made some beautiful memories! We were able to go snorkelling with turtles, visit cenotes, beach clubs, Coco Bongos, ATV riding, zip lining, scuba diving (saw sting rays + turtles) and visited Chichén Itzá. Transfers were always included and came in a timely manner. Deffo would recommend, thank you so much Memo!

Experiencia negativa: The staff and vehicles are good, but their communication is terrible. They moved our pickup time back to the airport up from 1215 to 1110 and I received no notification. No email, no phone call. I was told that I was expected to check at the representative desk upon arrival to confirm pickup time back to the airport. We missed our 1110 pickup time and nearly missed our flight back to the US because we had to scramble to find a new ride. Very frustrating. Would recommend using a different service if able.

Experiencia negativa: Avoid this company if you value your time! I booked a shuttle from the Cancun airport to my hotel in Playa del Carmen, expecting a 45-minute trip. Instead, the ride took two hours because the driver kept making stops at different resorts in the area. After an hour, I was still only a couple of miles from the airport! This company has no respect for its customers’ time and operates inefficiently. If you want to get to your destination promptly, I strongly recommend choosing another transportation service.

Experiencia negativa: Our driver from Amstar was running a scam by taking us to the wrong terminal in Cancun. There was another guy dressed as airport staff. He said he would take us to the correct terminal for free. When we got in the van we had to pay 1 peso by credit card. He tried charging my cc for 7,000.00 but it was declined because I had my phone on airplane mode and didn’t receive a text from my cc company, he tried three different amounts. My credit card said they were both in on the scam. This happens quite often Amstar refused to check who the driver was !

Experiencia fantástica: Andrick was absolutely fantastic! We had planned on booking some adventures and excursions online before we arrived but decided to wait and are very glad we did. Andrick went through several options so we ended up getting to do everything we wanted and more for the same money we had planned on spending. He was right on time to pick us up in the morning and spent all day with us teaching us about the cenotes and their history. I would highly recommend this 8 hour excursion if you can.

Experiencia fantástica: Full experience was absolutely amazing! Fernando helped us book the deluxe Chichén Itzá tour, he was really informative and helped us choose the best option for us! The tour itself was fantastic, pick up directly from our hotel which was on time - the bus had aircon and we were provided a pack-breakfast! First stop was the Cenote, which you were able to swim and take pictures. I will say as this is an “extra” stop there isn’t really a lot of time spent here so would recommend if you want to swim being ready before hand. We then went to Chichén Itzá, where we were provided with umbrellas as it was rainy, water bottles and a tour guide (in English and Spanish). We also had an extra 50mins after the tour to explore ourselves and purchase any souvenirs! When going back onto the bus we received soft drinks and beer! We then traveled to Valladolid for a buffet lunch which was so amazing! Again we had some time to explore here before heading back onto the bus to head home. The full tour took around 12hrs (6:30-7pm) however we were the first hotel to be dropped off so could be longer if staying elsewhere. Nefy our bus tour guide made the full experience so memorable and shared loads of information about the maya culture! Many thanks to everyone including our bus driver Anki - would highly recommend!

Experiencia negativa: We spent thousands of dollars with this company for a family of ten going to Cancun, including over $5000 to the agent at Caribe Riu. We also paid for private transportation with two of us staying an extra week at another resort. The driver was supposed to drop us off on the way to the airport for the rest. The driver claimed his paperwork did not show him dropping us off. We showed him our paperwork from the travel agent saying it was paid for. We took him to the AmStar rep on site. This agent’s name was Manuel Ongay. Not only was he unhelpful and rude he was downright hostile. He had our voucher ID right in front of him but he actually refused to even look it up!! We tried the phone number to AmStar and the phone recording said the wait time for an agent was 90 minutes!!!! What the heck are you supposed to do if there’s an emergency?? We wound up paying $50 for a cab for a ride we already paid for. That Manuel Ongay creep should be fired.

Experiencia fantástica: I had an excellent experience with Amstar transportation company in Cancun Mexico! The service was punctual, the vehicle was clean and well-maintained, and the driver was incredibly professional and courteous. Experiencia fantástica: Ariel, at Dreams Riviera, made some great recommendations based on our interests and the weather. We had a wonderful time at Telum and a ceynote with our guide Lia and a lovely day on the catamaran Gypsi exploring the snorkeling and Isle Mujeres. Two great excursions and memories that we will treasure. Thanks Amstar!

Experiencia fantástica: We have tried to speak with 2 other Amstar staff and they were either too busy on their phones or just not willing to help, in fact it was really disappointing until we met Minerva at Catalonia! so much fun, loads of options, extremely patient and very friendly/ approachable! we literally went from not going to bother with excursions to sign us up for 3 more adventures! best service we've had at this resort. Super thankful for her awesome service
